Yeah peter can see claude when he's invisible.....but he did walk away from him the last time and turn invisible. I think that peter can see through claude's invisibility but only when he's so close....you know what i mean? If claude is tailing from a good distance away i have hard time believing that peter can see claude down the street invisible. If he's really close to peter i can understand peter seeing him. but at a good distance claude can still be keeping an eye on peter.
Perhaps, my only argument against this is that Peter and Claude may actually not have been invisible in that scene. Let's backtrack a little. If we remember correctly, Peter jumps off the ledge with Claude, and flies back up. By the time he's flown up, he's turned visible again because HRG takes off the thermal goggles his eyes follow Peter as he flies upwards.
Thus, in the next scene we see of them in Peter's apartment, I think that it's implied that they are still visible, which is why Claude looks out the window to see if anybody's watching. If this is the case, then when we see Claude walking out of the room and turning invisible, the camera is supposed to serve as OUR point of view... not Peter's... meaning, it wasn't that Claude just went out of Peter's "range" but rather that he Claude turned invisible just then and there while opening the door. I also suggest this because when Peter saw Claude for the first time, he was much farther away from him (Peter was on his cell phone on the curb while Claude was in a restaurant area), and in the apartment scene, Claude is no more than 10 feet away from Peter.
I think he was referring more to the first time Peter met Claude, on the street. Claude walks away and turns invisible. We know they're both still invisible, as people are consistently bumping into them, and they actually show people looking for them as they hear them talking.
I think Claude's power extends in some kind of coencentric circle from Claude himself. When Peter's inside the area of effect, he can see Claude, but when he's outside of that area, Claude's just as invisible to Peter as he is to everyone else.
Peter can see him because he also has the power, but the power only extends so far. Thus, Claude can keep tabs on him, but he has to keep his distance. Kind of like a police officer trying to tail a car without being noticed. You need to follow at a distance where you can keep your eyes on the subject, but far enough away that the subject won't see that you're actually trying to keep tabs on them.
So my question now is, if Peter is invisible, and Claude is invisible two blocks away from him (out of his "range") can Peter see Claude because they are both invisible? Or can Peter only see Claude when he is in range, regardless of whether they are both invisible or not?
I think he may return sooner than expected. Like... maybe April 23rd? It's a guess, but here's the spoiler. I'm putting it here, because this is the only person I can think of that fits the bill.
We are hearing a rumor from out west that the situation with Sylar, Mohinder, and Peter will be resolved when a hero we have not seen for a while will appear to shift the balance of the fight back into Peter’s favor. Does this mean the end of Sylar? Nah! Expect to see Zach Quinto portraying the power vampire right up until the finale, and perhaps beyond!
Yeah what i meant was that claude and peter kind of have an area of effect with their invisibility. No one can truly be sure of the distance this would be but I'm guessing that if I'm 2 blocks away from you and you're invisible and i'm invisible too...then we can't see each other. I think the power radius probably wouldn't go that far. It may not be a fair comparison but if that's the case it would seem to me that peter should be able to absorb someone's power from 2 blocks away. I don't know... i think you have to be within a certain distance to be able to see through the invisibility without heat sensors or a device of some sort. But that's just my take on the whole thing i could be completely wrong.

I thought the wording was rather interesting.
I love when theories come true
AWESOME FIND, Acid
If it's not my dear Claude, then there's only one other Hero whom we have not seen in a while who can be in NY in time to interrupt Peter & Sylar's battle...
Well, some people have pointed out that it could be a few others... but I'm still leaning towards Claude.
Audrey - She's not a 'hero'. Yeah, they called Simone a hero when she died, too, but with rumors of her coming back and having a power... they may have done that on purpose. Audrey, as far as we know, has no power. But then, that is as far as we know. She may have manifested while she was gone or something.
Ted - I don't see him getting to NYC that quickly. Not when he's supposed to be fighting the company and destroying their computer in the same episode.
Hana - Yeah. She's going to spam Sylar to death.
Meredith - Why would she be in New York? Let alone, why would she be at Mohinder's?
Future Hiro - I don't think he's going to be time-jumping anytime soon with episode 20 coming up.
Claude's the only one that really fits the bill. Someone mentioned seeing a door close in Parasite, but I just assumed that was Sylar trying to be creepy.
OFF TOPIC but the mention of Hana meeting up with Sylar left me thinking...
Imagine if Sylar took her power then he could see how things work along with seeing and manipulating comunication signals, emails and all sorts. That would be a terror lol
^That'd be cool. We've only ever seen Peter meet Future Hiro. Off the top of my head, Hiro has met Nathan, Isaac, Simone, DL, and Micah. It's only a matter of time before they all meet up.
Ok, real spoiler time:
Actually, Greg Grunberg said they'd all be together for the finale, so I think it'll be likely for them to meet then
