After a quick rehash of the soap opera that was Chapter 91, Devin and Bianca go looking for "the German" where they believe he should be, but all they find is an empty gun case and a stack of photos that tell them poor Gael is in trouble.

A quick cut to Gael's hotel room (why is he sleeping when he should be up worrying about his fiancé?) shows that "the German" has already located him, and proceeds to pin him to the wall with pieces of the bedframe - Magneto style. He tells Gael that they are going to "have some fun". (Gael's phone is buzzing at the bottom of the frame, which leads us back to...

...Bianca worries about Devin's failure to answer his phone, and urges Devin to "DRIVE!" Devin takes a shortcut that causes several people to dive out of the way, and blames Bianca, thinking maybe she is the mole that Gael has been looking for. She professes her innocence of those charges, saying that they need to save Gael.

They arrive at the hotel, where Gael pleads with his captor, saying he's "not a killer." "The German" responds by saying he will kill those in his way, and hits Gael with a carefully placed bullet - presumably in an effort to slowly torture him before killing him.

Bianca and Devin bust in, and Devin fires at "the German", but misses as he dodges behind some furniture. Devin tells Bianca to get Gael to safety, and then tells "the German" to surrender or die. "The German" responds by saying that bullets don't hit him (presumably because he can deflect them), but that his shots never miss. He fires upward, and uses his powers to direct the bullets he fired down into Devin, most likely killing him.

Gael and Bianca conspire out in the hallway, Gael giving his fiancé a canister of gas, which she uses to help her take "the German" down (since she can breathe in any atmosphere). She also seems to come to grips with the fact that Gael was investigating her as a form of "tough love" in order to protect her from other agents who might not be so understanding.

Overall a decent chapter, but it doesn't seem to lead anywhere. Like most of the stuff we've seen this summer, this could be just filler with a bit of action and intrigue mixed in, or it could actually be something intended to introduce us to characters that we will meet in Season 3, but we'll have to wait a while to find that out for sure.

bah, i agree, didnt like it, except the part with the german and the bullets.

i almost had forgotten she could breathe in any atmosphere

i hate 'super specific' powers, teleportation, time travel, super speed, flight, healing, those seem awesome, i hate "she can change someone's face, AND vocal cords...but only for x amount of time" =[

"she can breathe in any atmosphere" i'd rather something like she doesnt need oxygen or..i dunno =[
