I agree. I don't necessarily think she's the shooter, but part of the role of the GN's is introducing characters that will make us wonder how they are linked to the show. Generate more interest in both the show and GN's by making us wonder.

In this case, they could make us think that she might be the shooter, particularly in the direction they take next week. Her line about shooting at the end could be very telling.
