So we see Matt Neuenberg a bit more, and learn about what the Company has him doing now. He's locked in his cell - a lot like the one Peter was in only stuffed with computers - and working to combat computer virus's. I'm guessing he's basically meant to be the countermeasure to whatever Hana and Drucker have been up to.

And in the end of the GN, we see Chuck Bartowski - um, I mean Matt, download all of the information in their "mainframe" into his memory via his ability as a "visual and audible learner" - a protocol developed with his abilities in mind. (Which include perfect recall as revealed in the last GN).

So now we'll have Elle as the agent assigned to protect him. All we need now is a gun-happy guy in a suit to back her up, and one of Chuck's - er Matt's - old buddies to provide comic relief as they spend their work days at the Buy More...

Ok - is this what we're left with now that the writer's strike is in full bloom? We get the plot of another show stuffed into our GN's? Hopefully they are going somewhere interesting with this, but I swear if we meet guys named Casey, Morgan, Harry Tang or Big Mike (or, God-forbid, someone with a nickname like "Captain Awesome"), I'm going to cyber-scream!!!!!

(Please note - I like Chuck. I find it funny and interesting. But I don't want it rehashed as the plot of our GN's!!!!) Very Happy

Amazong how coincidence seems to strike with some of the TV shows that we watch?

I'm really going to be ill if they start pulling in some "Days" plots, or anything to do with "90210" or "One Tree Hill"!

Oh, and I really don't like the idea of the "Reality TV" hero idea. Where folks decide a hero, and then we vote on which one will make it onto the show. Things could get really ugly really quickly...

It'd be kind of like "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" but on primetime, and with out Mr. Lee!!

Am I the only one who wished that the girls on the show looked like the girls drawn in the GN's? LOL! Ok it would seem to me that Matt is going to be a character on the show whenever it resumes. Seems to me like he's being used by the company to do their dirty work. I'm not sure he's going to continue to be compliant though.

Wow... Kind of good to see Hana again... And the internet is another "universe" that "communicated" with Drucker and gave him permission to reveal it?? Wow. Just who the hell is this Drucker guy? Has he gone the same path as Hana and shunned his physical body for the freedom of the ether? As for New Matt... anyone else think that if Drucker the All Powerful needed Hana to help him with whatever is on this mainframe, that the plethora of info therein may, quite literally, blow New Matt's mind? Yes, maybe he can store it, but at what cost? He could become a giant zip drive on life support from this, only without USB 2.0 to access the info..... Yet another young "super" falls victim to the machinations of the Company. Oh yeah, what happened to the whole Redemption Path that Elle was starting down? Totally evil... WTF did they do to that poor girl?

To be honest, this is now kind of reminding me of "Johnny Memnonic"

I just hope that they start coming up with some really original ideas here very quickly!

"Chuck" the show. Ambience said it all. What a silly way to advance Hana's and Drucker's story. Very very silly. And stupid in my opinion.

What, the company would not have protections against Drucker? Please.....

Anyone else wonder why they would introduce a character named Matt since there is already one on the show? Kinda of strange to me.

Because Matt is a very, very common name in the US?

Seriously - my name is Matt. There were dozens of other Matt's in my high school while I was there. There were four of us in my High School Drama class alone!

You'd never really think that they'd stoop so low as to make these "ordinary people" have ordinary names, now would you? Shocked

I'm surprised there's not a Jack. Alot of shows use that name. At one time I remember all my favorite shows had a prominent character named Jack. 24- Jack Bauer, LOST- Jack Shepard, ALIAS- Jack Bristow

It just seems a little lazy or sloppy to me to use the same name.

It could be something deliberate, maybe to introduce a misinformed conflict into Parkman's storyline? I mean, others have seen what the scope of Parkman's power might be, why wouldn't they think he could have a limitless memory? Could our two Matt's powers be related? (I doubt this, cuz Parkman's kind of a meathead, but u never know, right?)
