In this GN, we follow the actions of Thompson Jr.

Since his arrival in the company, there have been some unexplained deaths that need to be chased down.

Thompson decided to follow his old partner, and see if he could find anything out.

His partner, Cushing, is the only one with no alibi concerning the recent deaths. Four dead humans, all with _no_ abilities.

Cushing is seen arriving at an old warehouse where the car of another agent, Wu, is spotted.

Thompson and his backup secure the warehouse, and then move in to check on Cushing.

Thompson and his backup enter the building, and can't readily see anything. However, after checking a room, Thompson stumbles onto a scene that breaks his heart.

Cushing is standing over agent Wu, Wu is dead, and Cushing is denying having anything to do with her death.

When confronted by Thompson, Cushing tries to flee.

Cushing has an ability. He can generate acid from his hands. Putting up a fight with Thompson, they struggle for a while, then Cushing is able to grab Thompson by the throat with one hand, and prepares to punch him in the face with his other acid-covered hand.

Before the blow can land, Cushing is shot, and collapses. Thompson yells at Gael for shooting him before getting any answers to who is behind the whole thing.

Kneeling next to the fallen man, Cushing whispers that Evs Dropper is always watching.

Entering the offices the next day, there are flowers set out with condolences from Evs Dropper on the death of Cushing and Wu.

Two weeks later, Thompson finds out that Donna is going to be his new partner, and in order for him to be able to trust her, he sneaks in to look over her entire background.

However, while he's looking over her file, Donna sneaks in as well, and takes her file from him, only to learn of her death...

Thompson's last thought before the end of this GN is:

Since she's fated to die, will it be as a hero?

Interesting...

One question: If Cushing had nothing to do with Agent Wu's death what were those "flame-like" fingers rising from her body when Thompson walked in on him? I am wondering about that scene, especially AFTER it was revealed about Cushing controlling the Acid.... I dunno, I am just wondering.

I dunno. I'm still not buying Evsdropper being anything but a manipulative, if somewhat creative, computer geek and hacker.

Sure, he's got info, but nothing that he couldn't get access to with cameras around sensitive areas.

After all, Primatech's gotta have security cameras, right?

Have the cameras at the right time, and BOOM! Instant information.

Sure, they might be wise to him now, and have extra precautions, but before they know he was a threat, how did they know to secure those areas and files?

There's no telling how much information he's gotten, and what he's planning on doing with or using that info.

Thus, I'd say that he's got a nice, long list of ideas and resources, and he's going to use those in order to gain more. Plus, he's not above influencing others in the employ of said company to help him get his info. So there it is in a nutshell.

We'll just have to see where they start taking this GN. But to be completely honest, I'm really starting to love the GNs that are going on. Great story, great ideas, and interesting scenarios and characters. Nearly good enough to take my mind off of the long wait.. But not too good!

Yep, the GNs are good, but not a good enough present for the long wait. We need some really great A grade spoilers lol !!!!!!

I say the GN's recently have been awesome! Great stories, great suspense and great characters! Hope the show is as good when they start up again!
