I'd like to see a person who can manipulate electricity similar to static shock but more electrical less tangible as in I can hop in an outlet and pop up somewhere else as long as there's a current oh yeah and none of that I dont like water crap like electro from the old spiderman but like the new electro where bullets and water and metal couldnt stop him
that would be sweet i would like to see someone that could take in mass and revert it into a beam of energy that would be soo freakin sweet it would be unreal jack
I was going to mention the powers I thought sounded like great ideas, but my list of powers and the people who suggested them got too long. I will mention the one I liked the best - CAPTAINCOLBY's power to mess up other people's powers.
I've lately started to think a healing power (for use on others, not the same as Claire's) would be good to see. When people are battling evil, someone will always get hurt.
I think a cool power would be be some type of beam projection. They take in unused kinetic energy and blast it at enemies. Another cool one would be changing the skin into a metal(like Colossus) only they could manipulate their arms into blades and stuff. Like the bad guy in Terminator 2.
I'd also like to see the ability to bring inanimate objects to life by touching them with the limitation that if the hero with the power gets 30 feet or more away from the object that it returns to its regular state. By "alive" I mean under the control and bidding of the hero with the power, and with limited intelligence, individuality, and self-awareness of the object.
Bringing toys to life would be the obvious. (Think "Wonderfalls.") Touching a stone gargoyle statue and having it protect and fight for the hero would also be obvious. Touching an entire building and then asking it who's on the 12th floor would be a novel use of this power.
This power has a fantasy element to it, but I think it would have many cool applications and uses.
Similar to the density and power and phasing...
Let's say there is a character that can alter their physical weight based on how they feel without changing in appearance. For instance, if a person feels light on their feet they can walk on water. If they feel heavy, and say bloated, then they might break the scale.
As this power range advances and the person gets better control they then could become impenatrable at times, and seemingly weightless at others (jump from one building to another using only momentum).
This power could also work well with say...
A teenage girl having diet problems
or a thirty something guy developing a belly
I like the sound of that Madstract. its actually a power i could see someone having in the series, and it would certainly be an interesting one as well.

The first I would like to see would be the "doppleganger" effect. -also- known as "mirror image" in some RPG's. The character would have the ability to be in two places at the same time and funtion as his own indivdual self (only two) while having the ability to "project up to 6 images of himself" as illusions. Thus you have two dopplegangers and 4 mirrored illusions. If one doppleganger gets killed the other; he will die, but if one survives, he can create another doppleganger within resting 24 hours. The mirror images would simply vanish when hit by anything.
The second one we may have already witnessed in a certain sense when Peter Petrelli went back in time in a "dreamlike/out-of-body" state" where Charles Deveaux could see, hear and talk to him.So, is that the power: "out of body" ? I think thta would be cool if someone could travel that way to anywhere in a transdimensional realm, where he/she could see and understand everything around them as "if they were invisible" but in actualituy be on a dfferent "plane/dimension". (Whereas only someone with acute 'mental abilites such as Parkman, Charles Deveaux (ala dreams/clairvoyance) could sense the person.
I think that they are very wise to stay away from animal-esque powers, ex>"spiderman","aqua man","Hawk Girl" etc., because those kind of powers are pretty cliche now and lacking creativity (I am not insulting these characters in the least, but it has been done too much by now).
I was thinking a form of power-bestowal would be good, but it would obviously need huge limitations. Here's what I think: Power to temporarily switch on the special genome in the person that shares the deepest bond with you, if they are within a few miles. It seems pretty original to me, and would lead to a much more interesting storyline with huge possibilities.
Examples: What power would Noah Bennet (and others) have? Who really shares the strongest relationship with this character? What new abilities would appear without the need for a ton of new characters (for added flexibility and more Super-Peter potential)? What kind of character would develop after sitting around others with powers while the best you could do was give powers to someone else?
Now that I think about it, it would have been a cool alternate power for Maya and Alejandro, but that ship has sailed.
sylar has the power to freeze right well i know that sylar kills harry fletcher and paula gramble.
Remeber when bob shows nathan the newspaper showing there was a snow storm in miami. And that it could of been a flash flood!!!!! what if the power of freezing came from one of the two company members and that they used that power to make the snow storm.
