PK, she definitely has a projection power because she told Parkman(mentally) that he might have to kill Peter to stop the virus in the last episode.

Actually, I don't think that was Angela using her power, but she was using Matt's ability to read her mind to communicate with him with nobody else knowing about it.

After all, being a cagey old bat who's seen her share of powers, I'm sure she knows how to use each to he own advantage when or if needed....

If you watch the scene closely, Matt does a "double take" when Angela mentally calls out to him. He had started to walk away and was not concentrating on her. He also told Nathan that "your mother told me I might have to kill Peter.

Good eye Master Chef! I agree... The writers have been teasing us with subtle clues in different ways and in different scenes.

I think we'll be seeing some form of "mental projection" from Angela Petrelli in varying capacities. Although, as I said before it will be different than the Parkman's abilities, yet similar in "some" aspects.

I still think Peter has had visions where he is in the future - and past - where he traveled to those locations "mentally" without physically being present. (Angela Petrelli's bread & butter anyone. I think she can travel to a point "mentally" by concentrating on it - like astral projection so to speak.) I'm still trying to figure out if Charles Deveaux's gift was clairvoyance via dreams and discernment. (the ability to sense a presence and clairvoyantly know who it is.) What gets confusing with Peter is the fact that he can "paint the future", travel to the future, read minds/parkman's ability, etc... Now factor in the two 'unknowns' with Deveaux's ability and his Mother's ability. Perhaps he is manifesting all these abilities in a "synergistic combination". For example: Imagine if Mama Petrelli can 'mentally project" and travel to any point by thinking about it, but she is still bound by normal space & time. Peter picks up that ability, but because he can time travel, he now has the ability to mentally project himself without the space time constraints. (This is just food for thought going forward. Imagine his various powers, but in combinations that he could potentially combine. (Ex: send an electric shock 100 yards to a certain target, but make the shock invisible. Mentally project himself to a certain location and be able to "read someone's mind' even though he is not physically there. The possibilities are endless....

Okay, now I'm going to go way out there for a moment. Assuming it is some sort of projection ability (be it astral, that she can just see different points in time, or whatever...) how about this...

The events that led to Maury being captured started with Matt and Nathan going to find him. Angela presumably could have foreseen this. Nathan and Matt meet because of Angela's unexplained shoplifting event. Perhaps the shoplifting was her way of making sure Nathan and Matt met in order to ensure those events would be set in motion in accordance with her vision of Maury's capture.

sorry guys but she was just thiking that in order to stop adam from releasing it peter may have to be killed as he would try and protect adam.

u seen what he did to hiro, he thought adam was trying to do the right thing but he was just trying to kille people, and untill nathan spoke to him he was going to either kill of badly hurt matt

she was using what is called common sense lol

PK - and others on this "mental projection"/Angela Petrelli thing.

If you go back to the episode of "Truth & Consequences", you will see that while Peter is remembering and healing himself, he does somehow travel back to the "scene of where he and Caitlin" were separated. He literally sees himself and her as his own witness to the moment. It is not just a memory, because he is "there somehow". KEY CLUE: While watching " he reaches down at that moment in time as a separate witness to the event and grabs one of the paper notices drifting through the streets on the wind. When he "mentally travels back" to his present state where he is talking to Adam Monroe, he says, "I was in the future & saw a virus, etc..." At which Point Adam replies, "You've been standing here the whole time." Peter then responds by SHOWING ADAM THE PAPER NOTICE. Adam replies, "Impressive".

I think we have our smoking gun here people. Now, was that a manifestation of "POWERS IN SYNERGY", or the mimicry of another person's power only ? I think it may have been a manifestation of Peter using his mother's ability while simultaneously tapping another power to "Physically bring back the paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Side Note for response above:
As for Angela getting Parkman's attention: it was deliberately done through 'mental means of "calling to him" if you will. In addition, if you remember the scene where Matt was questioning her, she forcefully withheld a secret which caused her nose to bleed. (How many other people could resist Parkman's Persuasion? In addition, remember when Matt Parkman's nose began to bleed after he was trying to listen in on HRG & Hatian's conversation in season 1? Lots of concentration causing nose bleed.) Angela knew she couldn't resist, but she was just strong enough "mentally" in some form to tell him that he would be worse than his father if he did this. Compare that to the average person who would have simply become a zombie under Matt's bidding.) There is some form of Mental Power going on with Angela Petrelli FOR SURE.[/b]

Well, I did notice that double take, and I'd have to say that it's because of one thing:

Matt's still not used to his power.

I mean, this is the guy who believes that he's got an ability, but he's surprised at everyone else that shows one.

Thus, his double take is when someone accepts that he's got a power, like HRG did when trying to get Ted put down, and instinctively flinches.

I mean, who would think that Angela would be willing to talk about killing her own son to someone who knows how to read minds??

qall angela was doing is what hrg and claire was doing to matt when they were in the house with ted........they were saying things mentally and at that point matt wasnt trying to get into their heads hrg was mentally telling him stuff, and we know he hasnt got one

Angela has been around a telepath since The Company formed (Maury), so I'm sure she knows how to get their attention when need be.

That said, I still don't think Angela's projection of thoughts has anything to do with her ability. I think she was just simply 'thinking' to Matt. I think mental communication is another way for a telepath to have a 2-way conversation. In episode 5 of Season 2, it's clear that Matt can project his thoughts into the mind of others. That being said, he can have a full-blown mental conversation with somebody by mind reading and thought projection.
