I could still see this as some kind of "hush-hush" breeding program.

After all, if you're looking to create "Maximum Potential" on someone, why leave it to chance?

My take is this:

There are 12 original members. We know of five, one of which is female.

So we've got 4 men, and one woman. It stands to reason that there's got to be more than just one woman in this original group. My guess? Six and Six. Six guys, gix gals. That way, there's millions of combinations for powers and abilities to come of the pairings. mainly because of hybrids to known powers, and culminations of two powers into one stronger ability.

Thoughts?

So that means the other male is probably WTTB, since Molly confirms it's a "he."

And seeing that I think WTTB and the killer are two different people, then according to your logic, the killer is female, and there are 4 other females we don't know about.

I can buy into this idea. If the idea of blowing up NY was as involved as Angela and Linderman hinted it was, maybe they were trying to breed for someone like Peter, who can absorb powers (and presumably lose control of them and explode). They succeeded, which is why (besides the age factor) Angela says she hasn't slept with Kaito for a long time. And maybe why the old group is only 12 people. They stopped recruiting when Peter was born (or whenever they realized what his ability was).

Yay? Nay? Am I just repeating what you guys are getting at? lol

Maybe Linderman was able to heal himself too...we just didn't get a chance to see it.

I honestly don't think Linderman's going to be making any kind of comeback.

First, he was killed by a fist forming in his cranial cavity. Second, even if that weren't enough, the area where he was struck is the same area that can keep Peter and Claire from regenerating their own injuries. If this is the case, then even if it was an injury that his body could heal from, I don't think it's going to happen, because the area of the brain that was destroyed is going to keep him from healing.

my theory? they're not going to do an even split between guys and girls in the group. it's just whoever got together and made this group.

But seriously, I do like that thought, JJ. It really could have been nothing big. But then again... everything in this show is said/done for a reason, especially something that big... might it tie into the Papa Petrelli disappearance? He found out about the affair and tried to kill Kaito, but Kaito killed him instead? That's my thought.

Wait a minute! Don't brush that off so quickly. lol It is a possibility now, isn't it? I mean who knows. They could at least be half brothers.
