Could have been any wide variety of things Peter used, even combinations. Mind reading seems most plausible, but any of the following could have been a part of it (Haitian, eidetic memory, Deveaux somehow, others...)
Was a great moment to reveal Angela's power, but I don't think they did. It would have been real cool though if she convinced him to use a power he already absorbed from her.
The whole scene did stand out to me though as being a better part of the episode. |

Oh yeah, that scene was easily my favorite of the episode. Cristine Rose was wonderful in the whole thing. I really dislike Angela, but she still managed to make me a little teary-eyed when she was trying to get Peter to remember. But maybe it's also because I'm a sap. |

| Though it drives me crazy trying to figure out Angela's power I don't think we know it yet. The camera angle zooming in/out is the exact same when they use it for Matt reading's someones mind. I'm convinced he was reading her mind and memories and it was just poorly displayed in the third person, more to give the audience the same feeling he would have if he saw them first hand. |

I have already posted in Angela's power thread what I think her power might be....
But you know what bothers me? For almost a year now, we have been trying to figure out what Angela's power is, haven't we? And many many times, these discussions (and new threads) are sparked by something NEW she displays (if what we saw was a display of her power). What does that imply to you? That she is a multi-powered, that's what....
And, we have yet to meet Generation 1's empath.......... |

I dont think peter has the hatians power, in my opinion the reason for peters memory loss was the traumatization of exploding and thinking he had killed his brother. you have to remember he was a man who always thought of others before himself, the idea of killing his own brother may have shattered his mind so to speak.
Im Fairly sure that Charles Deveux's power was to see the future. or rather to dream and see the future, and his advanced power was to bring other people into his dreams, hence why just before he died charles and peter were talking in a dream and peter showed him that he could fly. i think thats why peter was having dreams of the future at the begginning of season one, he had just started working with charles so he had just gained the power. peter has more owers than he realises, for instance he should have all of sylars powers since he has sylars telepathy which was not sylars original power, so he should have all of his other powers as well. |

im pretty sure she was just a catalyst to him remembering on his own... cause she was the first person peter has run into that he had previously met before the brain wipe.... and sometimes seeing familiar things help in remembering what had happened...
plus i think peter remembers more very soon.... |

If you look at the new preview click with Angela & Heidi, and think about her encounter with Peter that helped him remember, and all of her encounters quite honestly, it really does look like she shares Eden's power of suggestion...when she touches people, she makes a suggestion and they do as told, mostly undramatically, but she even did it to Nathan last year. That would explain her ability to get Peter to remember, not her power, but she made him activate his... |

I definitely think that Peter was using telepathy in order to read the images from Angela's mind (primarily because of the sound effects). However, remember a certain scene with Matt and Janice in season 1 where she's trying to get him to see the design of a shirt in her mind? He says, "I can't see your thoughts I can only read them."
Well, we now know (thanks to Bob) that Matt can do anything mind-related, so he can most definitely see the images in someone's head if he wanted to.
My theory?
Peter's telepathy has evolved and is becoming stronger just like Matt's. He can now see images and memories. |

Good pick up on that one Popkorn. I forgot he had told Janice that back in S1, and now we know that's not true at all!
The third person images he found was more or less to show her memories of him and that we are still clueless as to what her power is. |

I actually respond to new users of the forum very often, both with responses to their theories, as well as by welcoming them to the forum, as do many of the Mods and long-time posters. When it comes to new theories that are posted, such as the one Superhiro has provided in this thread, reading them (for me) provokes new, on-the-spot thoughts that cross my mind, which I usually post before responding to other theories, just in case I forget that thought.

That's an interesting thought, Kombat - however, I have two arguments against that. I think that Peter most certainly does have The Haitian's power. In Season 1, episode 16 - "Unexpected" - Peter encounted HRG and The Haitian on the roof. They were maybe 20 feet away from each other (at most), and if Peter could absorb phasing from DL in Kirby Plaza from a significant distance, then surely Peter absorbed The Haitian's ability from a closer distance.
However, I don't think the fact that Peter has The Haitian's ability has anything to do with him having amnesia. I'm on the boat that believes that The Haitian mindwiped Peter, and the evidence is that (1) Peter was wearing his necklace in the first episode of Season 2, and (2) in the preview that was shown after "Out of Time," we see The Haitian and Peter interacting at what looks like the shipping yard in Ireland, and The Haitian says to Peter, "Your secret will be safe with me." To me, this definitely signifies that The Haitian mindwiped Peter.

However, Maxx, if Angela possessed the power of persuasion, then surely she could have used it a number of times in the Season 1 finale - she could have persuaded Claire to not pursue Peter at Kirby Plaza, and then Nathan to not go after Claire after she jumped out the window, and finally she could have persuaded Nathan to not sacrifice his life to safe the millions of people in New York City. She could have also persuaded Matt and the other officer in "Lizards" to stop the investigation into Kaito's murder.
I believe that the only people with the power of persuasion were/are Eden and Peter. |

I personally don't discriminate when it comes to who posts what. If it piques my interest, I'll respond, even if it's a user's very first post. I usually read posts first, then look at who posts them afterwards.
Continuing the conversation, I'm also on the "the Haitian really did mindwipe Peter" boat. I think what will be more interesting about that situation will be his motives for doing it.
Edit: I'm also not sure about Angela having the power of persuasion, for the exact points PK posted above. I'm really partial to Angela having a sort of precognitive ability, but that has a lot of holes in it, like I've stated before. I just want to find out what it is, already. |
