Age: 20, 21 in December
Location: CA
About me: Well, I'm an old member who's been on hiatus. I joined the site about half way through S1 and dropped off the list somewhere after the start of S2. I had no time to speculate after the end of the season because, well, I got married and then ran off to Great Lakes, IL for Navy boot camp. Now I'm at my "A" school, sitting around waiting for class to start, and just as importantly, waiting for HEROES to return!! (My Russian classes start up 3 days after the new season premiers!)
As far as HEROES goes, I'm an avid (avid, not rabid, although..... ) fan. I love to do HEROES related fanart and have even penned a couple of short stories about our fave heroes. |

Heh.. I'll call BS to the "Not Rabid" part of that statement, when it comes to seeing Peter or Sylar in some state of undress!
Anyway, good to have you back in action AB!
Hope you're liking the school, and hope things go well for ya! |

I was there in 87-88 for Arabic. Great view of the bay out of my room
We had 1 Navy, 2 Marine, 3 Air force, us 5 Army and 1 spook in our class. Was Mondo fun.
Study hard, and stay safe when you transition to your permanent station!
My handle "Sami" comes from the class name I was given by my Egyptian instructor. |

I never got the chance for a foreign language...
I was sent for my "A" school, then Nuke, then "C" school, then sub school, and duty..
Of course, all the schooling took 2 years to complete, so it's all good... |

| good times = I couldn't have asked for a better school. I love it out here in Cali so far and after 4 months in the Navy now, I'm loving it. I just can't wait to do the fun stuff (aka my job!) lol. |

Jorge,
Language school usually depends on Job class...
I was a 98G - which is a radio intercept linguist. Find the enemy, figure out who they are, what type, strength.. report on up for target tasking - YAHOO go Airforce, get some! and keep my Army/Marine ground pounder brothers from having to try too hard |

Yeah, I know Sami..
I actually tried to get into Crypto while I was in the Navy, but I was denied because of my rate at the time I tried to transfer.
Apparently they don't like having E-6 personnel jump into a program that could take them away from their designated grade..
I was a bit disappointed, but heck, I didn't think they'd seriously consider me anyway!
I liked my job of being the ET-N first class on my boat. I got to tell most others what to do, got to sit in on some interesting missions, and once I got back to base from my first (and only) cruise, I got to retire!
What else can you really ask for?
*if you want to know more about that career, PM me, and I'll explain* |
