Here's my theory about what the future plot scenes will be regarding Nathan and him revealing his power to everybody else:

Well, with what we've seen with Nathan's character thus far, and based on my own idea of how things turn out in plots with similar character types (characters who are in denial and who keep secrets from other main characters, etc), I think it would only be apprpriate that the moment he reveals he can fly to everybody be a significant moment, an "extreme circumstances" one, persay. The situation I am picturing in my head for the "extreme circumstance" would be one where he might have the opportune moment to fly, whether it be to save someone's life, to escape danger, or to help one of the other Heroes escape danger. Now, this situation can play out in two different ways, which will ultimately affect his character and demeanor for the rest of the series. Let's do the bad way first, which means that Nathan will ultimately deny his power to the death and refuse to use it, even in this extreme "fight or flight" or "save a life" circumstance. I envision Peter and/or Hiro being present for this situation (I'll explain in a sec), and because of Nathan's refusal to reveal his power in front of everybody and "save the day," it might cost someone else their life, or something along those lines, at which point Peter or Hiro would say something such as "Why didn't you fly up and save him/her?" or "You could have flown and done (blah blah blah), so why didn't you," thus revealing to everybody his ability. Ultimately, this would strengthen Nathan's "dark side" maybe making him a less likeable character by the end of the series.

The other scenario is the good one, which of course I myself, and I'm sure many of you would prefer. Said "extreme situation" occurs, and voila! Nathan flies up into the air and saves the life of (name), or grabs Hiro's sword for him before it falls down a revine in Nevada, or something crazy along those lines, thus not only revealing his powers to everybody else, but also making Nathan the "hero" of the day, which of course would strengthen his likeability as a character for the rest of the series.

I guess what I'm trying to say in short is that when Nathan's powers are revealed to everybody, because he has been in so much denial, as well as so reluctant to accept his ability as well as the abilities of others, it would be the ultimate (and most ironic) turnabout to have that "revealing" situation be during an extreme and fast-paced scene in which all (or many) of the Heroes are involved, shocking them (and us as well) in disbelief, because they will have all witnessed him as being (as Hiro so eloquently puts it) "FLYING MAN!"

Maybe I'm just over-theorizing, but I love coming up with crazy theories about how things will turn out. What does everybody else think? (Yes, I give you permission to deem me nuts & insane, but just don't lock me up next to Niki/Jessica, lol).

Yeah, I don't see Nathan quietly spreading the news. I don't think he'll tell people about his power - they'll only find out when he has to do it.

Well what I think is really weird is how in the newer flash-forward that Peter has, they show Nathan being vaporized, so if he does do something like that it'll have to happen soon. Nice thinking though I hadn't considered that he would ever reveal his powers.

About Nathan being vaporized, I dont think that Peter's dreams are 100% accurate like Isaac's visions. I think they are premonitions not fortune telling. Having said that, I think Nathan will be around for a while and doesnt fly in public bc he is trying to win an election , remember?? Who would vote for a freak?!?

I voted for Clinton, and he is definitely a freak . . .

I think the stressful situation reveal is exactly what will happen. Nathan hasn't used his power unless he had to thus far.

(P.S.: Saw Adrian Pasdar (a.k.a. Nathan Petrelli) on a pretty kick-a** episode of Outer Limits today, where he played a futuristic UFC-type fighter. Pat Morita was also in the episode, incidentally! Wax on, Fly off!!)

Knowing Nathan's drive and focus, I'd have to say that if he were to reveal his power, it would be motivated by gaining popularity and votes. So if he were to reveal his power, it would be for like rescuing folks trapped in a burning and collapsing building, (think Trade Center) Sinking ship (Titanic), or along those lines. Something headline breaking that is going to not only garner him fame, but recognition as a "good-guy" and bonafide hero to the people.

Idon't know if he'd do so in a situation like that . . . Maybe to help Pete, or his mom, or someone like that . . . I've been wrong many times before, though.

LOL, Popkorn!!! So, do ya' think Nathan will take Hiro to Linderman? Or will Simone? Because it's plausible that he'd get somewhere with Hiro and our favorite little time-bender would let the secret slip for him.

Hiro and Ando will never get near Linderman alone. I mean, he basically pimped Niki out, and she never saw him for the whole thing, just his assistant. Simone and Nathan might have a hell of a time finding an invisible Peter . . . .
