For those of you who'd rather wait for the DVD release (and those of you who don't want to have to scroll for five minutes every time you open this thread) I'll post the description in spoiler tags.
For the most part, its the same as the first two episodes, with some overlap into the third. I'll be posting the major differences.
Mohinder's cockroach speech is missing from his classroom scene. He mentions the cockroach as the pinnacle of evolution, but does not go into the details as to why.
Claire is talking to Zach as she sees a fire engine, sirens wailing and lights flashing, pass them. At the same time the fire engine passes, a truck with a cloth covered bed passes in the other direction. As it passes, Claire sees several men in the back, walking around a large metallic object.
After Claire's scene is a scene of a Mosque in Los Angeles, California. There's a group of 13 muslims praying here, in 3 rows of four. The camera zooms to a particular man, wearing black gloves and holding a strand of white prayer beads. A black man in a white knit cap is seen approaching a nearby window as the man kneels to pray. This man watches the other man pray, as the scene transitions to...
A SWAT team busting a door to a house down, also in Los Angeles. They clear the house to find no one in it. An officer finds a railroad schedule from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the house that's used to transport nuclear material. Some notes are found, written in Arabic except for one part.

"What?" His partner replies.
M: "Odessa."
"What's that?"
M: "You asked me what Odessa is. It's a town in Texas. And a, uhhh, city in Russia, I think."
"What are you talking about?"

A car arrives at the house unloading several people, including a red haired woman dressed in a pantsuit. (Audrey's boss from the actual show) After some discussion about his test scores, Matt starts to hear praying, in Arabic. He ignores his partner's questions to whether or not he's okay and heads inside the house. SWAT officers ask him what he's doing in the house, and he pulls a small team of SWAT officers over to a staircase. They draw their weapons and point at a grating in the staircase, where a man pops out with his hands up yelling "Don't shoot."
A news report on TV says that a derailed train was registered to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and that they've released no official statement yet on the contents of the train. The camera shows the same Arabic man we saw earlier that was praying, sitting on a bed in what looks to be a hotel room. The man removes the black gloves that he's been wearing to revealed poorly bandaged hands as he groans in pain. He removes part of the bandages to show a ring on his left ring finger, indicating marriage. He removes the ring, and places it atop his television set. The camera changes to a shot of the man's feet on the edge of a bathtub, as he jumps. His feet never hit the ground, and you can hear him struggle as he asphyxiates. Men in skimasks carrying automatic weapons burst into the room, find the man hanging from the bathroom ceiling, and cut him down.
Matt Parkman is in a bedroom of the house. Listening in on a nearby conversation between the man they found in the stairs and the red haired CIA woman. She asks him if "he found the engineer", and wants to know where he is. The policeman in charge asks who the engineer is as the woman leaves the room.

CIA lady and the police man interrogate him about how he found the man, and whether or not he knows where the engineer is. The policeman basically says all of Audrey's lines. "How's that make you feel son? Flunking the test that many times?"
In Hiro's office scene where he stops the clock for the first time, as he's being dragged off by his superior, Ando returns to his computer, logged into lasvegasniki.com as "Huggerz69t" asking for "Little more, please." after Niki tells him "Time's up."
Niki and Micah go to Texas Tina's. Claire rescues the man from the derailed train.

Amid: "I don't believe in anything anymore."

A: "You flatter yourself."
J: "Everything you planned is coming to pass. The computer virus got us the NRC switching codes. It's all happening right now. We derailed a train in West Texas two hours ago. We have the device. When we get the plutonium, we'll meet up in Idaho next month. We just need you to assemble it."
A: "What makes you think I would do that?"
J: "We started this together. We need to finish it together. Allah forgives you, so do I. We can't do this without you." *scoffs* "It's because of her isn't it?"
A: "I killed someone I loved. I killed my own wife. I will not kill anyone else."
J: "What are you talking about? She died of cancer. I read the obituary. When they bombed our camp in Pakistan, you and I buried 20 children that day. We dug their graves with our own hands. Put flowers on them, cried, said prayers. Just because you found love, doesn't make the rest of the world stop suffering. People don't respond to love, they respond to action."
*Joseph walks off, Amid breaks into tears* |

Janice: "Sure. Six minutes ought to be plenty of time to face our marital problems. And you're the one that wanted to do this, remember?"
Matt: "No, I wanted this for us. Okay? You're unhappy, that's a problem."
Janice: "Oh, right. It's my fault."
Matt: "No, I didn't mean that." *sighs* "I didn't pass, again."
Janice: "If you think that makes a difference to me, then... I never put any pressure on you to move up. I don't care. I just want you to be happy for once."
M: "I want to be where the action is. I've told you this. I'm not gonna retire a beat cop. People get their dreams, why can't I?"
J: "We've been together 11 years, Matt. I've made my dreams come true, how long are we supposed to wait for yours? Why don't you just tell them the truth?"
M: "Yeah, that's a great idea. I'll just walk in there and tell them I can barely read. I mean, half the words I see backwards. The other half I can't even see."
J: "Lots of people have dyslexia Matt, it's nothing to be ashamed of."
M: "I am under so much stress right now, honey, you have no idea."
J: "Yeah, well so am I."
M: "I actually think there's something wrong with my ears, my hearing."
J: "Well then go to a doctor."
M: "No, honey, listen to me. I'm hearing like, voices... in my head."
J: "Like a crazy person? Telling you what to do?"
M: "No, no. It's more like thoughts. I'm hearing people's thoughts."
J: "You know what, Matt? I have to go, okay? I'll see you at home."
M: "No, please, listen to me. This is..."
Janice thinks: "I can't stand it anymore, you suffocate me."
J: "What are you doing?"
*Matt walks off* |
Chapter two: I'm being followed by a shadow moon

Opens with Mohinder in his new apartment. He finds a tape labeled Sylar on the floor, and plays it in a nearby tape player.
Chandra's voice: "Hello, it's 2:30 in the morning, who is this?"
Man: "You've been looking for me."
C: "Yes, yes. Thank you for returning my call, Mr. Sylar." Mohinder opens a book from his father's notes nearby and finds Paul Sylar circled in a listed of names, with an address.
Sylar: "How did you find me?"
Mohinder knocks on a door and calls, "Mr. Sylar? Anyone there?"
C: "I created an algorithm that mapped and traced chromosome changes in... Uh, It's very complex to describe in layman's terms. I'm sure you have lots of questions."
While this plays, we see Mohinder enter an apartment from the window's fire escape. He looks around for a bit. There's crosses and crucifixes on the walls, and on top of some books on a table. He inspects the notes, as Sylar says "Oh, I have questions. Lots of questions. Am I good or evil? Are we cowards or heroes? Does God even know the difference?" Mohinder inspects news clippings that have been hung on a nearby wall in a fashion that almost resembles an altar ("Their brains were missing!", "Mutilated body linked to murder spree", "Gruesome slaying has community terrified.") Mohinder sees doors leading to a closet, and goes to inspect them as Sylar continues, "St. John of the Cross said there are two sides to a man's soul. These two are at war within all of us. Has God abandoned me, Professor?"
Chandra replies, voice trembling,"I know how confusing this must be, but you need to know that you are not alone. There are others. How is it manifesting itself for you?"
Mohinder opens the closet doors to see nothing but darkness. He's consumed by the darkness as he enters the closet. "Manifesting itself? That's good."
C: "I have so many questions for you." as Mohinder pulls a chain turning on a flickering light in the closet. The wall is illuminated, revealing an entire wall covered in the scribblings of a madman, most notably "Forgive me" written in red on black paint in 8 inch tall lettering. Chandra continues, "Can I meet you somewhere, someplace safe? There's someone following me, so..."
S: "No, I'll find you. Don't worry." *dial tone* |
Scene changes to Micah on the phone at Tina's. "And what time does that one leave? And it takes like what, a couple hours? Well can I just buy it there at the station?" Tina walks in, and Micah puts the phone down. Tina leaves to get cigarettes, leaving Micah at home alone. Micah eyes the purse she left, since she took money out of it, with her.
Peter and Nathan at his office. Nate offers Pete a job. Blah blah. Eclipse, Niki goes home to Linderman's guys at her house, gets roughed up a little during her strip show. You know how it ends. Hiro and Ando talk in the subway station, Isaac and Simone argue in Isaac's Loft as he prepares to go cold turkey on heroine, handcuffing himself to a pipe nearby. The scene ends with him eying a saw that fell out of the toolbox he got the handcuffs from (who keeps cuffs in a toolbox?).
Matt Parkman in the same park as before, it seems. Hearing voices. One in particular that stood out to me was someone thinking "Manifesting yourself. That's good.", eventually it all leads to him hearing a man praying in Arabic. He runs to the Captain nearby (the policeman interrogating him with CIA lady before) saying that he can find the rest of the cell the same way he found the guy in the house. But he'll need a translator, and there's a "condition".
Niki wakes up to an answering machine message from Tina, panicked. She doesn't know where Micah is, and she's missing $300 from her purse. Niki looks around to see the bloody mess of her garage. Scene change to: Peter gets out of Mohinder's cab, HRG gets in Mo freaks out, and leaves his cab in an alley.
Chapter Three: "Genesis" or "How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" opens with Claire's dinner where she says "I walked through fire and didn't get burned."
Simone goes to her father's where Peter is. Peter tries to tell her he's quitting, but Simone just needs morphine to help Isaac. She gets Peter to tag along.

Joseph: "I'll ask you one more time and only one more time. Are you in?"
Amid: "You found me seconds before I died. How is that possible?"
Joseph: "Fate."
A: "Fate. Maybe I was not meant to die."
J: "And maybe she was. Allah is merciful. He always has a plan. He has a plan for you, Amid. You'll help us. It's your purpose."
A: "Bring me a glass of water." Joseph nods, snaps fingers. A man in the background gets up to get it. "The device you stole. You will need more plutonium."
J: "How do you know that?"
A: "And not just plutonium. You'll need enough P-235, enough beryllium mixture, and you will need a lot more to take out your target." The man brings Amid his glass of water, and sets it down on the table. "A lot more."
J: "And where do we get it from?"
A: "Untie my hands." Joseph stands and begins to cut his hands free as Amid continues. "Six months ago I woke to something extraordinary. An ability. A curse. Where it came from, I don't know." Amid begins to take his bandages off, revealing his burned and scarred hands. "But now, I think, it might be my purpose. I can emit 45,000 curies of radiation from the palm of my hands. Enough to give cancer to those I love. Enough to detonate a five megaton thermonuclear device." He grasps the glass of water that was nearby with his scarred hand. His grip tightens on the glass as bubbles form in the water. The water boils over, splashing water on his hands, steam rising in turmoil as the water splashes from side to side.
Sparks fly in the room as a SWAT team breaks down the door. Amid ducking for cover in his chair. Joseph is caught in a spotlight and men try to pick up weapons to fight the team but are shot down before they get the chance.
Crudely masked SWAT member rushes at Amid, yelling "HEY! Get your hands where I can see them!" Amid raises his hands, and the SWAT member takes off his mask to reveal Matt Parkman. "Amid."

Cut to Hiro on the subway, porting to New York.
A bus, labeled "Salt Lake City" stops in the dead of night to let someone off. It's Micah. The bus driver calls out to him, "You sure your ride's comin'?" "Yeah, I'm sure." "You be careful, son." The bus closes it's doors and drives away. Micah steps forward, and the camera zooms in, panning up to show a guard tower at the prison he's arrived at.
Mohinder's in his apartment, looking at the map nervously, he rushes into the bedroom grabbing his pack. He looks as though he's ready to leave, until he walks out of the bedroom to find a silhouetted man in a hat standing there. Mohinder stops dead in his tracks and says, "Sylar..."
Peter and Simone come to Isaac's loft, talking about how Isaac can't possibly predict the future. They begin to search for Isaac, as Peter pulls out a flashlight from his jacket pocket. He spots a bloody hand on the ground, with a handcuff on the wrist. He rushes over to an unconscious Isaac, and attempts to make a tourniquet as he spots a painting that extremely resembles the dreams he's been having lately. He stares at it as Simone calls for an ambulance and wraps Isaac's blood forearm in a towel. Isaac has enough strength to mutter the words "We have to stop it." as the camera goes to a bird's eye view of the loft, revealing a black and white mural of the nuclear explosion in New York.
Cue Mohinder voice over from the end of Genesis with visions of Peter falling. Only this time it's not a vision. Nathan arrives in a taxicab below, and Peter jumps off the building, only to be caught by his brother midair.
P: "Nathan, how are you... how?"
N: "I don't know. I don't know. Oh god.... PETER!" Nathan struggles to keep his grip, but can't.
P: "Nathan!"

| just watched this!! excellent!! looks like made into 3 parts for separate or marathon viewing. I always wondered why they didn't show more of the DL-Gets-out-of-prison story line. Also interesting that NAthan was the on ethat put him away. So the "crime" must have happened in NYC!! Did DL ever mention disdain for Nathan in any of the "real" episodes"? |

| I'm glad they didn't go the terrorist route! I don't think that would've gone very well with the rest of the storylines. |
