It says:

May 24, 2007 - The Hollywood Reporter says there might be a few new characters in the mix when Heroes returns next fall. The trade publication says there's at least four new characters rumored to be added to the show. If you're wary of knowing anything about plotlines for next season, you might want to skip the following descriptions. The new characters are said to include a boyfriend for indestructible cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother who will serve as a surrogate for Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey), an Irish mobster, and a Latina woman in her 20's. The Reporter says most of these characters will likely be part of story arcs on the show, but not become regulars.

Maybe Nikki and DL (or minus DL if he dies) are out with the rest of the heroes travelling the world trying to save it from the worldwide conflict that's going to happen to it! Kring said no justice league.....but come on everyone wants it! They don't have to be fighting crime, just helping other specials or something.

Well I gave you the link and IGN doesn't post updates like that unless it's from a fairly credible site. They're too big to just post some whack story. And when they think it's not true, they make it a point to explain that the publishing that they got it from sometimes lies, or is from a source with no relation to the show. I doubt this is fake.

BTW...there was a quote from a writer about season 2 that said there was a female South American character that they've already planned for the show. Could totally be the Latina woman in her 20's.

You know Alucard, all of these sound plausible, here's how:

The surrogate mother for Micah: That doesn't even have to mean that D.L. and Nikki are not around anymore. We don't know what kind of money D.L. and Nikki get their hands on now that Linderman is not around! She might be a live-in nanny or D.L.'s mom or something.

The Irish mobster: Someone to replace Linderman as the bad man in charge perhaps?

Claire's love interest: Of course, now that Peter blew-up.... Oh, wait...wasn't Peter her uncle? What show is this again?

A Latina Woman in her 20s: WTTB! You heard it here first! BOOK IT! A popcorn

Theory! (Actually, I aint' got a clue on her!) So...

But you got to say. They are balancing the sexes (actor wise), as they have said they will.

*maybe* we'll start seeing some of the people off the map, the ones I (apparently wrongly) predicted would appear in season 2......or do you think they're more likely to appear in Heroes:Origins?
