In the graphic novels, Arthur petrelli looked JUST like Nathan when he was a younger man.

My apolgoies if this has already been covered, as I haven't made my way all the way through the thread yet, and I've been away from the site for a few months (man it's good to be back...man it's good to have the show back!!!! woooo!!!! A while back I had theorized that Sylar was Angela's child (along with other's theories that he was linderman's child...even some that he was the product of Angela and Linderman together). What lead us to this theory (other than just the juiciness of it, and the interest that the company had in Sylar and their refusal to just do away with him), was the fact that we had decided that the Super Gene has to be passed down, and the "mother" of Sylar's that he killed, along with his father were definitely "not special"....in more ways than one.....so this spoiler (again, damn I wish I read this back in June), and the confirmation on the show last night just kind of confirm theories we've all had for.....years now.
I was watching the show with my friend last night and she's like "OMG.....how can she be his mom" and I'm like "duh!!! I've known she was for a long time now Very Happy

Well we know Claire is adopted, and is Nathan's daughter. In the new episode she's talking about being frustrated, something to the effect of "I can heal, but so what?" Maybe this is why Arthur Petrelli was referred to as weak... But the contradiction to this is all the 1st generation's fear of Adam Monroe.... My guess (and this is gonna sound whacko) is that alllll of these people are interrelated in some way, the product of a long term plan of Mister Adam Monroe. I actually think this was referred to earlier in the thread maybe, but this dude's been around for 400 years... he's had time to hunt out other specials with with to copulate. So being adopted wouldn't matter... cuz they's all bruthas and sistas, sorta...

I know that Claire was told that she was Nathan's daughter and Nathan believes it as well. But is she really...........? The fact that she can't die sure sounds a lot like Adam.

What about the ugly-duck daughter of the face-changer from the GN's? Mom had a power, kid had none. So it's not guaranteed that it passes on.

Ugh, I see it all now. I'm guessing that Nath and Pete turn out unrelated - thus making Claire and Pete unrelated - which in turn legitimises some 'sitting in a tree' <.<
