While you're waiting for me to get this Herobase thing working (oh, and waiting for season 2, of course), here's a little more info about one aspect of the Herobase....

Did you know you can do complex searching of the Google Base version of the Herobase? You didn't? Well, you can. It's just like a "proper" database, Smile

Here's how. Go to Herobase Central, and click on the "Herobase (GBase)" link.

Near the top of the page, there's a line that says something like "See items in: Reference - heroes charac... Custom heroes location"
(You can just click those links if you'd rather not go through the Herobase Central portal)

So, if you want to search for a particular character, click the link for "Reference - heroes character", and if you want to search for a location, click the "Custom heroes location" link. For the sake of argument, click the locations link. Want to see all the locations from Japan? Click on the "Country" dropdown, select Japan and click the enter button. Shazam. All the Japanese locations

Unfortunately, the GBase version of the Herobase is even less complete than the other versions at the moment - I've only uploaded character and location data from the first few episodes. Still, what's there is searchable, and I think you'll agree that it could be quite a potent thing if it's got all the data in it. Imagine once data from the whole first season is entered, you will be able to search for anything at all and have it display the relevant scenes, characters, locations, abilities etc etc.

Oh, when you're searching locations, try the map view - it's pretty cool!
