I could not access www.superhiro.org at all yesterday evening for over 8 hours (almost 12).
Network Associates kept giving me one of those stupid pages that the site was under construction.
I tried to send a tech support e-mail, but it did not go through to the tech support e-mail address.
What happened? And who do we contact if the site goes down? |

Well, I didn't try to get online at all Saturday, but if you really have problems Herc, you can send me an email, and I'll gladly give you some kind of bogus excuse..
Maybe something along the lines of :
"Solar flare activity created a massive electromagnetic field that happened to discharge at the time you were trying to access the website. Since technical support was overloaded trying to fix the issue, there was noboy on hand to ba able to take your concern, and it did take quite a while to fix all of the anomolous readings that we were getting from the server. Once everything was up, it was nearly 8 hours since the inception. instead of issuing an apology for the site being down, we decided to see if we could cover it up by not saying anything, and hoping that nobody noticed. However, due to your diligence, that game is now up, and we've got to come up with some lame excuses..
I hope that your worries and fears are alleviated now, and we hope that you continue to use our site!

| I have missed this place, sure am glad the shows starting back up, gunna buy my DVDs tommorrow! I sure hope i am never on the sarcastic end of JORMENGRUNDS whit! |

Actually Herc The link performed exactly as it was supposed to!
In IS terms, you give a bogus e-mail so that when complains file in, they get sent to that e-mail, and you don't have to read them, or even acknowlegde that the problem even exists! Thus, when time comes to review your performance, you can honestly claim that there have been no complaints about the way your system has been handled!
Plus, if you have some close competition, you can always substitute their e-mail for the complaint line, ensuring that their next review will be worse off than yours!
