About her turning her body into energy, that would have hugely catastrophic effects on her surroundings. The amount of energy needed to equal her mass would be the equivalent of a few thousand nuclear bombs, at least. When an atomic bomb goes off, it is an event where only the atomic bonds of a chunk of uranium or plutonium turn to energy. The energy released by turning a whole person into electric current would destroy a good portion of the planet, maybe even all.
As you can tell, I'm a pretty big nerd.
why was HRG in Level 5 when the villians escaped? He was released from the company last season, yet he's locked back up at the start of this one.
I think HRG was in Level 5 just simply because he is the most dangerous human that poses a threat to The Company. He knows anything, and pretty much everything, there is to know about specials and The Company itself. Hell, he telepathically guided Matt and Ted out out of a Company secured building. He knew exactly how long it would take the security guard to get to Matt's cell, thereby telling Matt how much time he had to randomly dislodge a small rusted pipe in the corner of one of many cells.
Although HRG isn't super-powered, if he had just one super-powered person 100% on his side, he could probably come close to taking down The Company, if not taking it completely down.
IMO, it'd be too risky to kill him off. HRG is one of the most valuable assets to The Company - he's been around specials for all too long, and knows what to expect and what to watch out for, and has perfected the art of 'bagging and tagging.' They need him. And they don't want him escaping either, which is why he's in a Level 5 cell. If it weren't for the Level 5 villains that just escaped, HRG would
be at home with his family, and with Claire. This is confirmed in the new spoiler scene, posted in the spoiler thread, in a discussion between HRG and Angela during Episode 3.
Yeah, they obviously want/need HRG around, but don't trust him enough to let him run free. Here's what I don't get though: If they didn't trust Claire's bio-mom enough to let her keep her baby, why all of a sudden is she placed to protect HRG's family, presumably by HRG himself? Wasn't she sort of a loose cannon? I mean look at her actions in the new episode... not exactly what u'd call "motherly".

The Company and HRG are now separate entities. It was The Company who didn't trust Meredith - HRG was merely the go to guy to capture her. After seeing what his daughter would do, and realizing that he would be leaving his family defenseless, I think Meredith is the only person that HRG thinks is capable, and trustworthy, enough to protect them. Peter's obviously out of commission, and I don't think HRG trusts anybody else to do the job. Even if he wanted to call Nathan to help out, what could Nathan do? Flap his wings? loll
As for Meredith in the new episode, I think she was only trying to help Claire realize something that Claire herself was refusing to accept - that the only reason she wants to learn how to fight is to kill Sylar. Plain and simple. She doesn't want to go out and be a hero - she never did. Unlike Peter, Claire always wanted an ordinary life. Theo nly reason she wants to learn to fight is for revenge.
That's funny.... he thinks she is dangerous enough not to have her daughter, adopting her, then brings her back to protect that same daughter? This is all presumption of course, considering we don't know the full story behind Claire's adoption, but did she or did she not get left behind in a burning house?? HMMM... who starts fires that we know of....
AND AS FOR MEREDITH'S ACTIONS IN EPI. 3: I still give it a big WTF. I mean, granted, she knows she couldn't've killed Claire... but still.. pretty friggin sadistic, lesson or no.
It's par for the course for a show that is going to be canceled very soon.....
Lots of little things like that are not making sense.

The thing that got me about the scene with Meredith and Claire was that Claire was obviously gasping for air, but Meredith wasn't??? That didn't make any sense to me. She should only be able to control the fire so how was she not suffering from lack of oxygen as well?
What I could never unnderstant was, why doesnt future peter just travel back in time, pause time and blow sylar away with some nuke energy? Before Sylar took clairs powers. Also, wtf happened to catlin?? Didnt she need saving? What happened?
