has anybody thought any on that logo that we keep seeing? the one that's tattoo'd on Jessica's shoulder, and also embossed on Hiro's sword?

Also, am i right in thinking that if you look at Peter's scar in the +5yrs show, didn't it look similar to this symbol?

Where did it come from? what does it mean? and why do you think it keeps popping up all over the place? sorry to bring up a rival show, but its like Lost's swan logo all over the island....
