People say Peter is like Superman so I figure Peter should have a Lex Luthor type villain some time. I think that would be pretty cool. Or do you consider Syler a Lex Luthor to Peter? What do you think?

Hello, ok down to business then.

There is a problem with introducing a 'Lex Luthor' type villain to the series now that the series is about to enter a possible 3rd season.

The reasons for this are:

1) Lex Luthor was the best friend to Clarke ever since the accident at the bridge.
This brotherhood grew from series to series before eventually turning bad.

2) The only real person who is close enough for this to happen would have been his brother Nathan or his Mother. You can see the problems there.

3) Somthing like this should have been thought about and introduced to series 2 so that it could have built up in further episodes and could possibly make the series a little more exciting and would also provide new ideas for script writer's.

Any thoughts? wink

Peter's already got Sylar. His equal and opposite. And they already have a grude with each other.

Actually, right now there are three main characters who could possibly be a Lex-type of character to Peter.

There's Sylar, whom everyone knows is one major baddie that Peter wouldn't hesitate to try and erase from the face of the planet.

There's Adam, who has Peter eating out of his hand, but ultimately wants to destroy everything on this planet so that he can make it over the way he wants.

And finally, there's Angela. Nobody knows what her motivation is, but she's been in a position to know what is going to happen to Peter, and what dangers he could face, and she's been willing to sacrifice him time and again for her goals.

Of these, I like the last two, mainly because of the serious sinister factor they posess. Sylar is already known as the "bad guy", so I'm seeing the potential for him to run the road of redemption, and turn to his lighter side, even if for a brief while.

Anyway, time will tell, but that's my whole take on this character and his development.

I think that is better not to think about any Lex beacuse this is Heroes, Superman is another show.
Besides Sylar is perfect as Peter's antagonist, only think about those moments when they fight, wouaww!!! sparks really fly between those two.
Anyway I like Jormengrund's idea, Adam as a Lex-type, just a bit... light version XD.

in my mind the only person who could pwn peter like that his mohinder

and...with some information that was destroyed by the 'explosion' that doesnt happen in s1 (meaning, in 5yg, he cant do anything to stop specials, he tells the president this...but..the solution would have been destroyed in the explosion) no explosion= theres something that can help mohinder (and other regular humans) have a fighting chance against specials

spoilers however, make this highly unplausable inplausable?
