It's so great to watch this board grow like crazy and with such cool and smart people! For those of you who've been asking for them, here are the board rules:

The Basic Right Things to Do
Be tolerant and patient with other users. You were new here once too.
Disagree with others like a gentleman or gentlewoman.
Before you post, choose the right forum. Take the time to read forum descriptions and post appropriately.
Use the Search feature.
Post links that are helpful and relevant to the discussion.

The Basic Wrong Things to Do
Use foul language, or attempt to bypass censorship filters.
Post links for the sole purpose to advertise your website, forum, or blog. Post spam.
Abuse or make fun of other users.
Post the same thread to more than one forum.
Rise to the bait of flamers or trolls (just ignore them.)
Impersonate another user.
Use lots of text language or post nonsense.

Posts will be edited when they:
· Break the Basic Rules
· Contain Spoilers without using the Hide BBCode
· Contains excessive profanity
· Violates the board rules in some other way
· Contains threats or descriptions of violence to another board member

Posts will be deleted when they:
· Break the Basic Rules
· Contain unacceptable behavior (as determined by the tone of the community; e.g., profanity)
· No part of the topic/message is salvageable by editing
· Use illegal/defamatory statements

Regarding Signatures
Signatures are turned off by default for new users. In order to earn a signature you must "buy" the privilege from the Taiyaki Special Effects shop. The signature effect must be purchased with waffles, and you can learn more about waffles and how to earn them here and here.

Reporting Inappropriate Behavior
Users who witness abuse, spam, off-topic posts are encouraged to use the "Report Topic" link at the bottom left of every thread.

What if I have a Heroes website, blog, or podcast? Or I want to promote my own website here, or promote another Heroes forum?
Posting for the sake of promoting your blog, website, forum or podcast is a form of spam and violates board guidelines. If you are interested in promoting your website by placing a link to your website in your forum signature, there is a series of steps you must follow:

1) Earn enough waffles to purchase your signature effect from the Effects Shop.
2) Once you have your signature, link to us by using the link code found in the footer.
3) PM me with the URL to your website for review.

I will review your website and if approved, will enable HTML for your signature. Webmasters of other Heroes forums are encouraged to exchange links with this site.

Using this board as a vehicle to promote other Heroes forums will result in a ban.

When we will ban a user who violates these rules repeatedly:
· Repeated violations of the stated board rules or forum rules
· Offensive behavior (e.g., posting offensive material, harassing other members)
· Attempts at hacking or destroying the forum
· Repeated attempts to circumvent moderation or banning
