Yes, I tend to agree with Action. Candice confirmed that she dragged Sylar out of Kirby Plaza in "Kindred Spirits."

Sylar doesn't think killing evolved humans is bad, they are 'Unworthy' of abilities. However killing so many normal people really hit him hard when he found out (thinking he was the one to cause it), like all psychopaths there's a bit of human in there somewhere. me thinks.
Personally, I think so too, Achrist... however, I don't think we'll ever see that side of him manifest, not in this season at least (if ever).
It was definitely Candice, but why did she bring him to Mexico?
It's not certain that Candice brought him to Mexico (personally, I don't think she did). Sylar and Candice were in a cement shack in the middle of the forest in the middle of nowhere. Sylar then killed her and tried to run away. The next thing we know, he's lying passed out on a road in Mexico.
I doubt that Bob would let Candice and Sylar live in that forest unmonitored. What if The Company got to Sylar, drugged him, and put him PURPOSEFULLY in the path of Maya and Alejandro. There's a definite chance that The Company knows about Maya & Alejandro's ability, just like they knew about Monica's. Perhaps they don't know the danger of their ability yet or couldn't get to them.
Haha... I dunno, perhaps you are right (we all know I'm a little nuts anyway)...
But if that's true, then you've answered one of your own 'complaints' that you posted in another thread:

2. Give us a reason to start following Maya and Alejandro's story. Their inclusion is a little abrupt and jarring. If the whole season had been new characters, that'd be one thing...
The reason we started to follow Maya and Alejandro's story was because the writers knew that Sylar would run into them later on (and he will, of course, ALWAYS be a part of the storyline), but we didn't see that happen until episode 4
that is an interesting idea to play around with tho. It would bring their storyline together with everything else. although far fetched, im sure the company still has many precogs at their disposal so they may have known to send sylar there and that he would eventually meet up with them. i dont think they really cared about candice in the first place. even though sylar didnt hav powers he is still a crazy. they left candice alone with him in the middle of nowhere. if they really wanted to just keep him away from everything, they would have put him in the prison with adam and peter. now THAT would have been interesting.
but i wouldn have minded at all if the first scene was them running from the law and the second was them finding Sylar, id be all over THAT.
Eh... personally I like the amount of time they used to develop Maya and Alejandro before running into Sylar. If they had them running from the cops in one scene, and then Sylar turning up in the next one, that'd be just as coincidental as Sylar showing up on Zane Taylor's stoop, pretending to be Mohinder, just hours before the real Mohinder Suresh arrives (something I very much did not like).
We know that Bob seems to read all sorts of obscure articles from everywhere. After all he read that little obscure item about a cheerleader who was drank and saw a flying boy, didn't he? He also pointed out that old article about the "Snow in Miami"...?
Maybe the company has someone special who crunches the nets (what's that one the Journalists use to look for articles) similar to how Hannah processes information (or ObsidianFlame on our Forum -- LOL!). That someone found the articles Spanish language articles about the massacre in Velenzuela (or wherever). then they tracked them as fugitives.
It is not that far-fetched to assume that even though he might not have been in Mexico to begin with, he might have been dropped on that road on purpose.... But that's a discussion for another thread, I think.
Posted: Tue Nov 27, 2007 3:49 am Post subject: Kane
First of all I'm sorry if this has been covered before...I haven't had time to read through nine pages. But, has anyone mentioned the character Kane yet?!?!
"8/30 — NEW! Deathray Magazine has stated Kane can control insects. It seems that this character will also be known as Kensei, as portrayed by David Anders.
7/20 — The Hollywood Reporter confirms that David Anders will indeed play the role, but reports have conflicted as to whether he will portray Kane or Kensei. His character has been consistently described as being "one thousand years old"; some have conjectured that these two characters are one and the same."
Now, if there is a character Kane in the works who control insects, he is the one who is controling these cockroaches. Now, if I know the writers for Heroes, they don't get too tricky with twists. Season 2's secrets so far were clear as day. If you just look closely the answers are always there, and even strongly hinted at. But as far as Anders playing Kane, who knows if Adam Monroe is also Kane, but on the whole its highly doubtful and will be another actor. Unless the whole idea was scraped...
Yeah we discussed Kane in many different places, including this thread.
It appears at this point of Season 2, with only one Episode remaining in the season, and no end in sight for the writers strike, that these "spoilers" about the character of Kane where completely misleading.
As Herc mentioned, we have talked about the spoilers in depth, but you do remind us of a good point. I wonder if Season 3 will introduce this "Kane" character? It'd be a pretty cool ability to have for the show, and I could see so much done with it (i.e. a swarm of insects attacking someone, or insects carrying Kane away as if he could 'fly', or insects locating someone like Molly's ability).
The only problem I have with the "Kane" spoiler is that the name sounds too much like "Kensei," so I don't know if they'd go that way.

Welcome, VeryBad.
Anyhow, I'm starting to think that there will never be a "Kane." I've occasionally seen that some shows will intentionally release casting notices with false character names, knowing that fans scour them for any spoilers. It's possible, due to the similarities of the names, that "Kane" was simply the code name for Anders' character in the early stages to avoid spoiling that they'd be telling the Kensei story.
I'd still like to see a character with bug-controlling abilities. That'd be cool. Now, if they could only upgrade the special effects department.
I don't think Kane was thrown away at all. He's right there. Kane was just the early, conceptual name/idea for the character, imo. A 1,000 year old character who was rumored to also be Kensei. Now we have Adam Monroe who is a 400 year old character known to be Kensei. Coincidence? Not likely.
The ideas that were thrown about with Kane in the beginning were, again, just conceptual most likely. With Kensei having lived 400 years ago, that means he would have been 600 by the time Hiro got there, and he'd probably have realized by then that he was immortal. As far as the insect controlling ability, I'd wager a guess that Kane was, in essence, a human cockroach that would be viewed by insects as a sort of "Queen bee" type animal who could, as a cockroach does, live for an extremely long time, and control insects because of his size. The pheromones coming from an insect that size would be the equivalent of a Chihuahua sniffing a Boxer's hydrant.
It also doesn't play into the story, longterm. You have Kane, this 1,000 year old roach-man. How would his blood have saved Nathan? With Nathan dead/disfigured, how would he be able to do what he does in the finale? Matt never would have had Nathan's help with his father and probably would've been trapped a lot easier with no one to fight. And finally, if Kane was busy watching over Sylar, as was originally rumored, Candice's story would have been left wide open, and Peter wouldn't be on the path he is now. They changed the character to fit the story they had in mind. On top of that, if Kensei was Kane, and Kane had been taking care of Sylar, it would have been much more obvious that something goes wrong in the past with Hiro, and that Kane is the one behind the Company's deaths showing him in present time in the first 3 episodes.
