i posted this somewhere but I'm pretty sure the cars were different colors. i think claire's was orange but dereks was blackish. correct me if im wrong ne1 im too lazy to check.
It seems almost pointless, i bet in the next episode Derek will probably admit that the car is stolen, and he got it from some highschool (or theyll do a flashback showing him stealing the car) cuz im sure theyll ask what he was doing in a mexican prison and how he got there.

What is important is that Sylar will be traveling with Maya and Alahando(sp). All Sylar needs is a picture and name inside the car and its Save the Cheerleader time again.

+ Both of these are close with the Grey being a bit darker

- Probably the Gotham Grey (there are some colors picked up from surrounding buildings and such that give it a redish/orangish tinge in a few shots)
- No Sticker on the lower left bumper (we do get to see the same area as Derek's)
- license plate starts with a 2 (all we get to see)
Derek's Rogue -
- Also Probably Gotham Grey (looks very dark until the drive away scene)
- Sticker on the lower left bumper
- license plate is 2ABM543
Edit: sigh... and I started this post while trying to watch the two scenes on nbc.com.. h8 h8 h8 their viewer. I disagree on the color.. That IGraphite is very purple. Seems we both had the same idea tonight.
To me, the way the light plays OFF the "Irridium Graphite" one (aka Purple one as you call it) can make it look "orange" sometimes or darker, like "Silver" or even darker than that.
I am pretty sure both cars are the same car.... (did that sentence make sense?) I am also pretty sure the color is "Irridium Graphite" for both.

I doubt they're going to go to Costa Verde. Maya and Alejandro are looking for Suresh, and in the preview for Episode 4, Kindred, Sylar says "I've helped Suresh with so many people like you".

Sylar knows Mohinder's apartment was there, so his first instinct will be to start at a familiar location and move from there checking for a forwarding address if Mo' moved. Though, that means Sylar and little miss Molly may have another run-in.

Maybe they go to NYC before Sylar discovers whose car it is? Or, the police track down the stolen car in NYC and that causes Noah and/or Claire to go to NYC to get it?
No, it just shows that all the heroes are probably going to end up meeting with one another again.
Sylar meets up with Mohinder in New york, who is conveniently working with HRG, who happens to be the guy that gave the car to Claire and is also in need of a hiding place soon, so may wind up in NYC again himself, see the rogue and say "Hey, Claire, isn't that yours?", drive it home and they all live happily ever after the end. The car thing will probably fade fast... Anyone remember what happened to the Versa that Hiro and Ando had? Exactly... that rental was left somewhere. I hope they paid extra for the insurance.
I wonder if HRG even reported Claire's car stolen.

Maya is reading "Activating Evolution". Assuming Maya, Alejandro, and Derek come across Sylar, what happens when Sylar sees this? He has obviously become the #1 Fan of that book -- and in more ways than one.

Dude. They're filming episode NINE right now, at least. The video where Kristin was talking to Milo that I posted like a week ago, where Milo was wearing a wig to fake his old hair? Yeah, that's probably for Episode 8, the flashback episode. Those shots were taken way after episode 5.
As far as "your clues" go:
What does snow have to do with it?
What does a van have to do with it?
What does cold weather dress on anyone have to do with it?
My clues are that Maya and Alejandro want to go see Suresh.
Sylar... wants to go see Suresh, too.
They have NO way of knowing, unless they happen to check the glove box for some reason and find the registration, that the Rogue belongs to the Bennetts (Even if they did, it would be registered to Noah Butler, which would be a foreign name to Sylar). I doubt Derek's just going to up and say "Oh, btw, I stole this car from a chick named Claire Butler, whose real name is Bennett. Don't ask me how I knew that."
So how on earth did you link the Rogue to those shots? Why would they go to Costa Verde to see a person whose last known whereabouts (Even Maya and Alejandro will think he's in New York, the same way Peter found him last season, from reading the book) is in New York City?
