Peter coming into contact with the haitian in season 2 leaves me with two questions. The first is wether Peter absorbed the haitian's powers or if the haitian blocked Peter's absorbtion.the second is that if Peter did absorb it and had another run in with the haitian, whose power would cancle the other's out. This has been wracking my brain for quite some time. PLEASE HELP!

michael, you're lame, you coulda just asked me.

yeah, peter has the haitian's powers. and they probably both wouldnt be able to use any abilities... i guess...

well...i thought it'd be two scenarios, where either the haitian uses his power, peter cant use any, fist vs fist fight

or...peter uses it and blocks the haitian, then can use his powers, so its super peter vs haitian with no powers BUT

two things - the haitian blocks peters powers in 5 years gone....peter cant freeze time or anything..he doesnt tell future hiro "wait...lemme go cancel his powers first"

that AND....even if peter does use the haitian's ability before the haitian (meaning...while he's asleep or..some time when the haitian ISNT waiting for it...thus his power isnt activated) if peter DOES do that..it wont matter anyway because the writers have stated peter doesnt use two powers at once (even though thats REALLY debatable)

this is a tough one but i have to agree with def this time if.......and its a big if.if peter does have his ability it hink the only way peter could use it on him is if he goes o the hatian when he is sleeping or at some piont whe he is supresssing his own ability

i have agood theory tho idea

..........peter or/f.peter could travel forward or back in time to apoint like for instance to when the hation let nathan, freeze time, and unfreeze it with his "hation" ability turned on so the hatian cant turn his back on

or also another one i may have thoght up...........th gn has shown peter possibly hs super speed. if it can defy time it can surely defy the supressionability

another one is if it was possible for peter to run far enough awa from the hation that his abilities comeback(peter aint beating the hation inafist fight lol) and use his own "hatian" ability so whe the hation eventually reaches him the two "hatian" abilitys are nulified therefore peter could use his others

my final on is that peter isnt intellegent enough to realise any of these past present or future suggestions and gets his ass kicked again lol

yeah, the whole "Peter cant use 2 powers at once" thing is just an example of the writers arent always right. Peter has used multiple abilities on multiple occasions. Invisibility, power mimicry, and TK on the deveaux rooftop w/ claude; Invis, and tk in 5 years gone; healing and tk in the pub in ireland.

Just recently Allan Arkush said Claire and Hiro have never been in a scene together... but they were in "Company Man" and I'm pretty sure they were in Kirby Plaza at the same time in "How to Stop An Exploding Man".

So, yeah... only trust the writers if the show doesnt prove otherwise....

Peter was able to regain his memories from the Haitian, despite those memories once erased being no recoverable. Perhaps this has something to do with his mother's ability, combined with some other powers used instinctively??? I can't wait for Season 3. Let's get this show on the road already.....

it says on heroes wiki that the hatians ability is less effectiv against stuff that doesnt require active htought or concentration.

although it says that empathic mimicry is "significatly affected" it is not insurmountable. as in a few occasions matt has manged to get a couple of thoughts out of hrg. id say peter has the hatians ability.but does that meanif peter realsied that they would both be able to cancell each other out?

well its got a damn good list of thepowers that the hatian hasnt been able to prevent and the ones that he has
its alo got a fairly technicl description of what his powers are and its weakness

You need to remember one thing though - that list of powers that the Haitian "hasn't been able to prevent" may not be accurate. It may be powers that he "didn't want to prevent" or powers that he "didn't react quickly enough to prevent" or even powers he "wasn't aware of, so couldn't prevent". Or maybe he was just having an off-day, or he was suffering power-loss like Hero. Maybe even he had the early stages of the virus, and so now that he is cured he'll be back up to full power.

Just because we've seen something not be stopped, doesn't mean it can't be stopped.

Did that make any sense, or am I rambling? (Didn't get enough sleep last night, the baby's teething and has a cold.)

lol u did make sense...........all it says is that the abilities that require no concentration to be used he seems to have no actual influence over.
which is why he was ale to stop peter from usin tk and others.he wasnt actualy able to prevent ted from going nuclear(cat remember the episode) because it wasnt actually using the controlled part of hisability it was a primal instict that has no required consentration and something that not even ted could controll.
thats why im going to stick to peter having tha hatians ability because he could only sto the one part of peters abilities, the recollection and reproduction of mimiced abilities. he coudntstop peter from obtaining his abilities because he cant stop constant abilities such as invisibility and empathic mimicry.
but there was n mention of anyone having the virus in the present day untill4 episodes from the end of season 1 obviously molly had it

angela wanted to get claire away from HRG, because peter was gonna BOOM NYC, and sylar was pickin off specials as well...so she wanted to get claire out of the country, ...

she cant just go ABDUCT her, so she tells the haitian to allow ted to go nuclear in HRG's house, NOT stop him...why u may ask? so claire can go in, stop him, come out, heal in front of EVERYONE (including thompson) who then asks for claire, (haitian mind wipes everyone who saw claire heal...cept thompson, and the mom) HRG doesnt wanna give her up, gives her to the haitian to 'hide'

angela knew the only one HRG could trust is 'the haitian' ....what HRG didnt know is that giving claire to the haitian= giving claire to angela

i fully believe the haitian can block ALL abilities

especially because future peter in 5yg wouldve said "hey! lemme try using X power, i dont think he can stop it"
