I think the writers focus on Peter using telekinesis too much. It seems more of Sylar's thing to me. Im just saying there is so many powers we know he's absorbed and hasn't used yet such as technopathy, persuasion, alchemy, and clairvoyance. I think Peter should have found out about those powers when he lost his memory so when he got it back he could just keep on using them.

I agree. The element of "fear" the Sylar brings with his mastery of TK is a little diluted by Peter's use of it. I'd like to see Peter use plenty more of the energy abilities like electrokineses, induced radiation, possibly Meredith Gordon's ability if he could aquire it.
I liked Peter's mastery of invisibility.
I wonder if they'll introduce a super sight character, could see that being a lot of fun.

I agree, but it does make sense from a practical perspective. Most situations are easily handled by telekinesis.

There's still some debate as to whether or not Peter abosrbed all of Sylar's stolen abilities. My theroy is that Peter can only mimic the abilities which Sylar actively used around him, which at this point is just telekinesis. I know Peter mimics other people's abilities even when they are not actively using them, but sylar's array of abilities are stolen, not natural, so I think that matters. If i'm right, then the only powers Peter has copied from Sylar would be telekinesis and Sylar's base power of Intuitice Adaptation or whatever it's called - the ability to steal powers. (which is completely redundant and worthless in Peter's case obviously)
So I don't think Peter has super-hearing, total recall, or alchemy (the melting thing).
I agree on the other abilities though. Techonpathy (Micah), clairvoyance (Molly), and Persuasion (Eden), all have yet to be utilized. We might never see any of them because he's not aware of them and they are mostly activated abilities. He'd need some sort of stressful encounter to force him to use them, such as the Phasing. But as long as he has all his other powers, I can't imagine a situation that couldn't be handled by them.
Sorry for the long post. Basically I agree with you
I agree with you guys too! Here's a question, maybe I should post in under a different thread.....but wouldn't it had been better if Hiro had traveled back 300-400 years and then burried Adam back then, wouldnt that had been safer??
Why would that be any safer? It is entirely possible that Adam could find a way out of the box - i.e. clawing his way out - and then you would have an extremely pissed off immortal who now has another reason to hate Hiro and another 400 years to stew about it!
WOW-didn't really say that it WOULD be any safer. But, if he could "Claw his way out" then it goes to figure that he could "Claw his way out" of the casket now. So, what would be the difference? I was just saying that it would've been better to travel through time, SOMEWHERE other than the "Here and now" and bury Adam. If you ask me, they should've cut his head off, then went back 400 yrs and burried his body back in "Kensai's time" then burried his head in the present time. Let him try to live through that! Even if he did, a head in 2007, and a body in 1400's or whenever that was....wouldnt be much of a threat! But, I guess that is the reason why they didnt do all of that, so they could bring him back in S3!! Which is cool, cuz he's a good charachter!
The last part of your idea (putting his head and body in different times) would probably be fairly effective.
But let me explain my logic.
If you bury him now, and it takes him several years to claw his way out of the box, he's out of your hair for several years.
If you bury him in the past, and it takes him several years to claw his way out of the box, then by the time you get back to the present from doing the deed, he'll have been back out on the loose for hundreds of years, with another reason to be really pissed off and quite a bit of time to plot his revenge - plus now he nows when you'll be around! So instead of getting rid of him for a while, you leave him with the opportunity to really get back at you - possibly even altering your past/future in the process.
Yeah, I understand what you're saying! I dont see him being able to claw his way out of the casket he's in now, doesnt it have 6 feet of concrete over it? But, I would not be surprised at all...to find out that "someone else" digs him up! I dont know who, but I could just see that as being part of the storyline, sometime in the future! I also think that Nathan will survive his wounds, I dont think that they would kill him off the show! Maybe that's wishfull thinking!?
...you know what would make Peter stop using TK constantly? If Claude came back and showed him how to use the rest!
.......please?
yeah you're right, I really hope Peter gets caught in a situation where Claude suddenly comes back for him and helps him. The dynamic was fantastic, It would take some super writing since Peter shouldn't get fooled again or used. Maybe stopped by the Haitain. Actually I could see that, given that Ma Petrelli virtually ordered Nathan's death, she could use the Haitain to control Peter ready to put a cap in his ass too. But Claude saves him (Haitain didn't know to powerblock anminvisible dude) and takes him away and then it's Peter vs the Company.
Claude shows Peter the true nature his parents and the company, who shot Nathan, and why, and Peter goes freaking bezerk, His dad pops out during the final showdown (faked his death) and then the emotions go freaking crazy. IT'd be cool to have this mystery villain driving the others and for it later to be revealed as Pa Petrelli.

Ooh I like this idea a lot.
Also I thought it was confirmed by the producer that Peter did have all of Sylars powers last year? I heard it was, maybe I'm wrong. I'd love for Peter to use more of his powers, like in that future episode Peter had those fire powers. I think it would be sweet if they returned this volume. Another thing to add, notice how they've been changing Peters hair each volume? Well I'd like for them to change Peters hair this Volume to Future Peters hair style, it would rock if they did

Well, it's hardly a pattern. They've done it once :S
First time poster here, I've had questions about Peter's powers (and also who shot JR) and stumbled across this wonderful forum of dedicated Heroes fans like myself. I've read through this entire thread to try to find answers to one of peter's "powers" and it's been quite puzzling to me. In the 'unexpected'episode when he shouts to Isaac "DON'T LIE TO ME!!!!" in my opinion it seems like a classic sonic scream ability ala Siryn or Black Canary. So far there have been no heroes to exhibit this power (but I hope that someone will in S3, could be very useful against Sylar).
Now, through this thread there have already been some theories about this including:
1) The "voice" from Eden, but:
a) the voice does not sound the same, and Eden never used much volume
b) Peter has not used nor "unlocked" this ability in his mind (or known she had it)
c) Isaac did not tell him the truth about Peter's question involving the neck marks
2) Sylar's "murder" voice, but:
a) again, he never used much volume and while it sounds similar, its different
b) as stated by someone else, this is mostly a scare tactic, nothing else
c) this isn't really an ability per se, so how could it have been absorbed
3) Telekineses which someone mentioned earler, but:
a) what would this have to do with the voice
b) ALL TK used on the show REQUIRES hand gestures (with the one exception of
Sylar holding up Hiro in Isaac's loft, but he used a gesture 1st, then used both
hands to read the 9th wonders while still holding him up)
This is quite a conundrum for me, and I'm sure many others. I don't really know and it's just been driving me crazy. Maybe Peter's just so awesome that he just pulled it from his ass. Either way, I can't wait to see how powerful he becomes when he meets all the heroes he hasn't met yet, and also:
meets Daphne who will have superspeed, and he will be absolutely unstoppable (not that he already isn't)
I think this was addressed before you'd been browsing here, and I might not be the best in describing what was talked about, but I'll try to shed some light on this question.
According to what I recall, the "voice" Peter uses wasn't actually a power, but was a dramatic sound effect used to convey emotion and frustration. It had nothing to do with a power or an ability.
I don't recall how this was found out. I want to say that it was brought up in an interview with either Kring or one of the writers, and was said to be only an effect, and not an ability.
Anyway, until I can get one of our "super researcher and spoiler" people to read this, I think you're going to have to make due with my shoddy memory and explanation!
Thanks for shedding some light on that. I had a feeling it wasn't a true ability, but at the same time, it seems like one. Pretty confusing on the writers part.
