Hello?

Does nobody read my posts anymore?

Just curious, because I mentioned the whole Tracy /= Niki thing above - quoting myself from a previous thread. Nearly everything below it seems to be ignoring my entire post?!

Not frustrated or angry, just confused. Smile

You are stating that fairly bluntly - but can you back it up? Can you prove that Tracy is not Jessica? I don't think so.

Here's what we know about Jessica:

1) She existed.
2) She was Niki's sister (possibly a twin).
3) She put herself between Niki and their Dad to protect Niki.
4) We are told that she died due to abuse - the trauma of which caused Niki to forget her.
5) We have seen her grave.

Here's the relevant info on Tracy:

1) She works for a Governor.
2) She seems to have been in that position for quite some time.
3) She is identical to Niki.

As far as I know, there is no information that we have received that proves one way or the other that Jessica and Tracy are either the same person or different people. We really can't know yet. All we can really be sure of is that Tracy is not Niki, because she just wouldn't have had time to create that persona.

Here is my problem with Tracy and Nikki being the same person... Suppose that they are the same person, then how does that play into Jessica's power and second persona? Tracy knows nothing about Nikki or jessica which is why she seeks her out and ends up going to the funeral. Since she knows nothing then it is safe to assume that she was not projecting herself or mentally inside of Jessica, since that would require a knowledge of the other person either before or after the projection. Nikki and Jessica existed in teh same person and manifested themselves at different times. Could Nikki had never died? Maybe, but what would have been so traumatic and not caused death for Jessica to forget about her? If you say that the Haitian took the memories then how could that name manifest itself into her memory after being removed... unless there is some way to undo the Haitian's mindwipe.

I think that the writers didnt develop her as well as they had hoped, but wanted to keep Ali Larter around. Jess/Nikki/Tracey are triplets. The mother left and took Tracy cause she was the youngest. The two others were left with an abusive drunk father. Nikki protected Jessica but ended up dying in the process. Jessica manifested a personality, but this personality went beyond the disorder since multiple personalities ususally dont talk to each other. Tracy will be that long lost triplet and I forsee a conversation with daddy dearest this season.

After last night, I am officially rescinding my Tracy=Jessica theory. Now I am guessing that Tracy, Nikki and perhaps Jessica (and possibly more beyond) were deliberately created (possibly like Arnold's character in the movie Twins) to become something special. The last thing we learned from the Doctor that Tracy found (thanks to Micah) was that he "created" Tracy.

He also said something about her being the "one from Boston." (I might be remembering the wrong city...?) That leads me to believe that there may possibly be more of these Ali Larter-played, created specials out there somewhere - not just Nikki, Jessica & Tracy.

Consider:

- We have been given the impression that Linderman had somehow manipulated Niki and D.L. into getting together and producing Micah.

- As we watch her develop, Niki seems to be channelling the spirit, or at least the personality of her dead sister, Jessica.

- Eventually, Niki also begins channelling another personality (I forget the name - the party-girl from Season 2 that got D.L. shot for the 2nd time.)

Could it be that Niki's true power was an ability to channel the personalities and powers of the other girls who were created along with her? Maybe Jessica had the super-strength, and Tracy has the icy-touch, and if Niki were still around and had developed her power further, she would have been able to channel Tracy as well, gaining the freezing power. (She seemed to have gotten a grasp of the strength without having to call up the Jessica personality, at least in the Season 1 Finale.) Could it be that Niki was another form of the same attempts at power generation as Peter and Sylar seem to be?

Sylar = Power Acquisition (via brain examination/intuitive aptitude)
Peter = Power Absorbtion (via mimicry)
Niki = Power Channelling (from her identical "sisters") ???

Yeah I think (keyword think) we can put to rest the Niki=Tracy theory. I'm wondering though if there is any connection to the GN where the dude duplicated himself? Could be that they just kept producing women with powers. I did feel sorry for Micah though.

Barbara...

We have a mom-turned-stripper with super strength.
We have an ice-queen politician's assistant with the ability to freeze things.
We have a...what? A party girl that we know very little about? (If indeed Niki was channelling her personality in Season 2.)

Then we have Jessica. Who was she? Was she physically related to Niki et all? Was she just a "sister" through marriage or adoption? Why was Niki able to seemingly channel her personality? Was it just a manifestation of some form of psychosis, or something more?

Is Niki dead? We didn't see a body at any point, did we?

What is Barbara's ability, if she has any? Obviously the old doctor doesn't know - as he wasn't aware of Tracy's freezing power, just that he was part of giving it to her. What else does he know - and what has he been made to forget? (Presumably by the Haitian...)

Here are my thoughts... from what ? I have seen an taken from the episodes...

Jessica was an older sister to Nikki. Jessica dies. Nikki was genetically altered as a child to have the Strength while only manifest when her personality is shifted to Jessica the same name as the older sister she once had. At birth she was an identical twin with Tracy Strauss who was also genetically altered. Being as this genetic DNS crap is so unpredictable she ended up with the "freezing" ability instead of the strength. Two separate people! I mean even Micah, nikki's son, knew that.

Plus let us not forget that Nikki had two personality besides her norm.... there was Jessica the killer/strength monster and then there was Gina the party girl who got DL killed at the club when she was all coked up.

I think the most valid point I read was the fact that if Tracy Strauss was DNA genetically altered as a child just like her twin Nikki then why did it take so long for it to be seen to herself that she can freeze, I mean just like it was said she had to be emotional before the scenes of season 3... i mean Nikki had an excuse, her split personality had the strength and until her split personality manifested did she know she had the power, b/c she didn't realize that she had a split personality.

Was that on-screen? If so I don't remember it. There are such things as closed-casket funerals, and memorial services for when the body is too disfigured to be displayed, or when no body can be found.

I'm not saying I think she isn't dead, I'm just wondering if it is a possibility.

There are spoiler pics that show Niki being taken away on a stretch with her face/body all bloodied and somewhat charred, as if it had been burnt, so I think we're going to see a flashback scene depicting these pictures. We know it's Niki and not Barabara or Tracy because the dead body is wearing the same clothing that Niki was wearing during the Season 2 finale when she was caught in the explosion.
