Nerds play paintball, too. That's how scenario roleplaying paintball started. |

Marvel IS the Shizzle, I have EVERY Classic Marvel reference book, including The Ultimate Powers Book (rare), The Books of Magic (very rare) AND Weapons Locker (almost-an-urban-legend-rare)!
I GM'd a game (before my accident) which was The Secret Wars...4 independent (home-brewed) characters vs. everyone else! It was a slaughter . Iron Man got shucked from his armor, Spidey went splat, Cap got deCAPitated, Torch was snuffed, Hulk was placed in geosynchronous orbit, Thing got pulverized, Mr Fantastic was telekinetically taffy-pulled, what a mess.
When the p-layers found out that they lose ALL Karma (marvel's advancement mechanic) if someone dies they started to spend their Karma to get KILL RESULTS!
yuck! |

I still play said game as well. For those who want more info on said game, you can go to a great fan site here:
http://www.classicmarvel.com/

"What a nerdy game" is right... That's why most of the roleplaying I do these days resolves combat with .68 caliber paintballs and personal stats are left up to the physical ability of the players.
|
I noticed that you said MOST of the roleplaying, not ALL of the roleplaying
And, Hiro strikes me as a very smart individual - I'd probably make his Reason Good, not Typical.
Ando looks good.
Jessica can rip a door off a safe, while it is a personal safe, they are still made of heavy steel and reinforced with concrete.
I'd say Strength would have to be Remarkable or Incredible (And I'm leaning towards incredible). |

| Actually, there is a power called "Martial Supremacy" that allows you to do quite a few different things, one of which is "power rank damage to inanimate objects" very nice for the GM who wants to allow martial artists to be able to ki-strike a granite column without augmenting their strength to superhuman levels. |

| I had thought about martial supremacy when I was making the character but at the time I still didn't know much about her strength (and I still don't). Is she always strong, or just when she is Jessica? |

| As far as we have seen, only when she is Jessica. Niki Sanders has shown absolutely no super-strength so far. |

Yeah, unfortunately I missed playing it when it was around (bad side effect of, you know, being a baby).
But I did find it fairly recently and although I can't convince anyone in my D&D group to play yet, I do like it from what I know of it (I can stat up characters fairly well, and such), although I haven't been able to play it yet.
But yes, so up on the classicmarvel site, they've got Claire and DL stats up. (I believe that's all they've gotten so far) |

| Good lord you're brining back memories. The Marvel Superheroes RPG was one of the first ones that I ever played. I had just gotten into Akira at the time and I ended up creating this mega powerful telekinetic. Sadly we didn't get to play that RPG for a long time because my friends and I ended up getting into the Palladium RPGs. |

Hi all im hear but this topic drew me in. I have to say that the old TSR system is the best ive ever seen for Heros. Personaly i prefer the OLD WOD but that 2 has now gone (I blame underworld and the fact that due to copy right white wolf got a huge cash influx) but on a serious note what is it with D&D players being scaird to play any other game???? trust me i know the type if met them hear in the uk in Aus and NZ I just cant understand it is it that they are scaird of the change i dont know but never mind.

With his previous experience having to create the Iron Man suit to save his own life Tony agreed to help. A year passed and the condition worsened by the time the suit was ready all that they were able to save of the original Sam was her eyes, brain and reproductive organs (Her reprductive organs were kept at her own request as she still aspires to have a child of her own one day). From that day on she has gone by the name of Shadow Blade and she has worked for Tony Stark protecting a secret laboratory owned by Stark Enterprises. But she also has permision to go off travelling on her own from time to time. Tony Stark plans to improve on the suit in time and hopes to add flight when she is next in the office.
