Perhaps this isnt the place for this, but with all of the recent press Superhiro.org is getting I was wondering...
HOW DID YOU COME ACROSS THE SITE?
Did you see it on TV?
Follow a link from another site?
Stumble upon our handsome webmaster's recent interviews?
Personally I was googling "Heroes NBC show spoilers" when I found it around End of October last year, lurked for several months, and then decided to join when I saw that the kid making theories about The Haitian being an alien 2 months ago was now moderator. (PK )
Step 1: Be a recovering forumholic.
Step 2: Become addicted to Heroes.
Step 1: Fall off the wagon.
Step 2: Seek refuge in a place filled with intelligent, polite, friendly, creative people.
Step 1: Get kicked out.
Step 2: Stumble upon a place where they don't mind you dragging in dead vermin every night.
Step 1: Learn to count past 2.
Step 3: Lurk.
I was looking for spoilers, too. I lurked from about "Hiros" through ".07%". I think I have another account here, but I never used it. I finally got the nerve to really join in on the fun a couple of days after ".07%" aired.
I don't regret it one bit, because nothing compares to this place. I'm a moderator on a Facebook Heroes app, and the people there...my word. Let's just say I'm planning to resign.
Everyone here is so awesome!
I Superhiro.org!
And Squeak.....wow. Fortunately, you didn't break my brain, 'cause I still need it. But you came pretty darn close.
Last November I was looking at
Hiro's Blog over at NBC.com
when I saw an entry telling me to go to
superhiros.org.
Not wanting to get into trouble or anything
I immediately did and the rest is history.
I actually found this place just after the pilot episode. After watching that pilot, I had to find others out there who were as hooked on the show as I was.
First, I went to the NBC site, and read up on the folks there. Sadly, I didn't really feel like I fit in with the 9th Wonders! group, so I tried to find others. In my search, I stumbled across this site, and was caught by the folks who were drawing scenes and taking inspiration from the show already!
I knew this was my place, so I settled in, and lurked for a while. Then, when I could no longer stand it (about episode 3 or 4) I started to make comments, and talk to folks.
Since then, I guess it's been kind of hard to get me to shut up! lol
However, I don't think I'll find much more of a friendly place to come and talk about Heroes stuff than here. There's not anything out there that even comes close to matching it!
1) I was looking for spoilers, and i stumbled across this Forum, started reading and this site has some very interesting theories. Im a big fan of Heroes, since it came out in the UK. Then i downloaded all episodes.
I have watched all the episodes, including "the kindness of strangers" . did anyone see "The 619" , i could watch that again and again Best Scene of this Episode.
Well I was a late comer to the Heroes series. I watched the whole first season in like a week and a half. I post on a few message boards and naturally I was looking for a place to discuss this new show I fell in love with. I just did a search on webcrawler for Heroes message boards and I came across this place. I loved the comic book look and layout so I joined up. Everyone here seems to get along and most people have been very friendly to me. I think this is an awesome board and SuperHiro has done a great job with it! I love the special effects like getting waffles and then using them to purchase items! This place has been great! I hope to be here for the remainder of the series!
Last October a friend told me about Heroes. I saw a mini-marathon on a Sunday night of episodes 2-4. I had missed Ep1, so I searched for something to tell me what happened in it and found this site. I joined and shortly thereafter we had a live chat with James Kyson Lee who plays Ando. I was hooked.
When the show came out, I rarely built anticipation towards the show because I watched shows, especially ones with almost similar format, like shows from FOX, USA, WB (before merging with UPN into CW) and NBC for years, and they did not please me as much as they did for the first time (even if they still do, but less than the first time).
However, my sister got the show from the market, and to much my surprise, I got myself hooked with this show. I could not stop thinking about it, especially with the comparisons between September 11th and the doomsday of New York City, revolving around characters.
I went into Google and typed "heroes forums". I looked through discussion places like TV.com and NBC, and sorely they tend to be merely at best averagely appeasing. So I went into this forum, looked through theories and opinions and eventually got hooked. Spoilers and theories were the main reasons I got into.
I was lurking on another site that covers a lot of different shows, and saw a discussion about how a guy that was in Season one and was killed off and a guy named "Deep Clean" were the same one. Most people said he wasn't. So I went to the "Official Site", which stinks. All you can do is look at videos. No text about characters, their history, etc. So I Googled Heroes Forums, and found this one. Which is the ONLY one that has a list of S. 1 & 2 characters in something other than video form.
