I Peter DOES explode that doesnt mean that all the heroes will die. Nathan won't die he will be in Wshington D.C., Claire won't die because she can't, and if Lindermen isnt in New York he could always heal everyone or the heroes.IF PETER DOES EXPLODE THEN SYLAR WILL MOST LIKELY DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also to tobias reaper guy...Peter DOES get powers just by simply coming in contact with someone. he's no where NEAR claire when she used her powers to heal at the homecoming stuff. also...he never SAW isaac paint the future, and yet gained that ability. hmm lets see.....yea that puts that to rest (the thing about him having to see the ability to use it)

BUT...i do think peter can only gain a power when sylar has it "on" aka i think sylar is really familiar with telekenesis and uses that primarily, therefore thats the only one he got from sylar. if sylar used his other powers near peter, im sure he'd gain them....that being said..
I thought that Sylar was using his other powers... super hearing to detect invisible Peter to hit him with the shards of glass.
So... if SYLAR brained ate Peter will he get only his mimicking powers or will he gain all of Peter's collected powers.
Sylar knows HOW an ability works by studying the living brain while it's USING that ability. He takes on the genetic modifications necessary by [unknown process, possibly brain-eating].
So, if he snacks on Peter-brain, he should be able to reproduce all the abilities he's SEEN Peter using.
For pity's sake, Peter, don't you DARE time travel when you're around Sylar.
Oh, and has Peter forgotten he can time travel now? I mean, come ON.
Another one - if Sylar has, as it would seem, actively used HIS power (in studying Peter's active brain) around Peter, I think it would be fair to argue that Peter's newfound control over his abilities is due to the fact that HE NOW HAS SYLAR'S ABILITY!
And another - at the time of the explosion, it's possible (even likely) that both Peter and Sylar will have Ted's ability. This would render them BOTH immune to their own radioactivity (as Ted is - he recovered v.quickly from that high-energy event in TX) and both capable of surviving the event, regen power notwithstanding.
Yet another - I don't think Peter OR Sylar could explode accidentally now. I'm thinking it's either still somehow a deliberate act by Sylar, or some kind of Sylar-Peter-Telepathic-Nuclear feedback loop thing.

interesting thoughts....but im sticking with sylar NOT being able to use all of peter's abilities....im gonna (for now) assume he only would gain empath-ness or whatever. (aka the ability to gain powers from being near them etc)
i saw the eps many many many times, i really DOUBT sylar used the super hearing power to stab peter. it really seems like that one time when peter used TK to stop the tazer from HRG+haitain, it SOUNDED like time stopped, but it wasnt. I havent seen sylar use 2 powers at once yet so....im gonna go with NAY on that one. also, he wouldnt have sent the shards of glass that way...he would have merely TK'd peter, OR, sent one shard etc. the many shards= he didnt know where peter was. he was concentrating on the glass, look at his face
oh yea, i dont think peter has sylars "know how it works" ability, sylar never used it in front of peter....or had it "active" (aka where u have it active, but not necessarily use it at that time)
that being said...hiro= gives peter the scar (spoiler!) sorry.....(j/k, im just assuming) but yea, im going with a 90% chance peter gets it from hiro
the glass hit Peter in the BACK of the head ... as in he was facing away from Sylar. Why would he turn his back on Sylar of all people? what was he looking at instead? And, he had plenty of time to see the height of the glass, why not get down on the floor? Is peter a complete idiot or what?

Also, the writers planned on having Sylar's body flung out the window into the alley below, That would explain why Mohinder didn't finish him off. Or maybe he was just too scared to stick around and didnt' want ot take the chance? panic-thught? I don't kow, but we can't thikn hindsight-20/20 you know.

Was sylar trying to use THE VOICE (from Eden)? he seemed to at least twice in the episode. I didn't see it have the intended effect, tho. Posibly because he hadn't time to study her/she blew her own brains apart so that screwed up that power for him, too.

It would be pretty gutsy to have the bomb explode adn explore that possibility more htan jsut one episode. have teh characters trying to figure things out in that future, and how to prevent it, woudl be interesting. Messy, but intriguiing as all get out! dark fun!

we are assuming Linderman wants Micah to help him fix the logicbomb that isn't gonna work to fix the votes. that is SOFTWARE tho, not hardware. So, this must prove that micah can work with the software of a machine too, for those that had their doubts. We already saw this with the ATM at the very least, tho.

I wonder ... can you paint very far past your own death? Maybe something BIG, something that "godsneds' need to know for themselves or others.
It recently occurred to me that Mohinder might have thought Sylar was dead, and that's why he didn't finish him off. I know it didn't look like the bulletin board hit Sylar hard enough to kill a person, at least not for sure. But Sylar can play dead well enough to fool a doctor, so he might have pulled it off.
People get hurt more easily than we sometimes see in movies or on TV. It's a TV-land convention that a person can be knocked unconscious with a blow to the head or even the face and wake up a few hours later with no bruises, no concussion, no bleeding in the brain. Or that a person can go through a plate glass window and have no injury or a few cuts that need stitches. In real life, Sylar and Mohinder (falling from the ceiling) would both have come out of that room in worse shape. (I know, in real life Mohinder would not have been stuck to the ceiling. I'm trying to say that some un-realism was applied to something besides the superpowers.)

If Angela Petrelli has always had an ability, as seems to be the case, then Peter would likely have absorbed it, and it occured to me that the prophetic dreams Peter has from time, to time (About flying, Being the bomb, Nathan's future and its possible connection to Sylar) may be her power. She may have some form of precognitive ability, except no ability to paint it...o_O This would explain how she knows so much about what is going on with everyone around here, and why she is so determined to effect it.
That's all i got for now, but I'm sure i'll return w/ more

I wonder if papa petrelli has powers? is he REALLY dead, or just in hiding? Maybe he doesn't agree with Linderman and had his death faked or something?
perhaps sylar already has the ability to regenerate... notice that after claire healed from a mortal wound, she coughs. peter did the same something when the shard of glass got extracted from his skull. sylar coughed as he woke after he got knocked out.
Linderman mentioned that there were a group of meta-humans when he was younger that wanted to change the world... Linderman and mother pertrelli are about the same age. they could know each other... could there be a cheezy "I am your father!" moment in the future?
Isaac sent off either his last 9th wonders or other paintings/drawings on how to stop sylar to the people that would be able to do it. I don't know if it's in the new 9th wonders or just another sketch or something. But basically....if isaac drew peter stopping sylar, whether it was in 9th wonders or not, he would have sent it off to peter to show him how to stop sylar.
Just a quick reminder....Peter does have ALL of sylar's abilities, whether they are turned on or not. This was confirmed in an interview with the entire panel of writers and prducers for the show. So, I think his control over his powers can be attributed to his know-how-things-work ability. And I agree that sylar can't use peter's abilities since they are empathy based. And that photo album analogy was perfect. Because if sylar saw a picture of someone invisible, it doesn't mean he can just look at that and see how it works and use invisibility.
wait, where was that interview that says peter absorbed alllllll of sylar's abilities? cause that kinda stinks if you ask me. thats just TOOOOOO many powers that peter has now, i think sylar CAN gain peter's empathy ability, BUT...not the powers peter currently has, just peter's power
I don't know about that, alucard, the only one I know of is the panel Q&A where it's declared that Peter DOESN'T get Sylar's abilities....it's been stated (obviously) that Peter has TK from Sylar, but not Freeze-o-power.
