Chapter 16 Unexpected

Somewhere in the Nevada Desert
Ted's laptop, an instant message appears from “wireless.” The laptop isn't connected to the Internet. Ted asks wireless how they are doing this, wireless says he/she knows what they did to him. A photo of a needle appears, Ted says they should meet. A woman emerges from the shadows behind Ted, Hanna Gimmerman. She says she can communicates via any wireless – she can find them, and Ted can nuke them.
The Bennett Family, Odessa Texas
The scene from last week, where the kitchen's a mess. Claire runs for her dad, her brother is there. She pulls Lyle into the kitchen and asks her mother if she knows who it is. Her mother is normal, remembers everything.
HRG and Isaac, in Isaac's studio. Isaac tells HRG that Peter Petrelli is responsible for what will happen. Isaac has been painting Peter but not visible, HRG mentions Peter is with someone they thought was long dead. Reaction from The Haitian. HRG hands Isaac a gun, Isaac asks what he's supposed to do with this. “Save the world” says HRG.

Matt opens a drawer, dumps out the diamonds on the dresser. His wife, Janice enters the room. He's trying to be helpful, she tells him to get out of the way. She finds the ring that was in the bag of diamonds – she says “What did you do?” He asks if she likes it, says it was a gift. She's pregnant, complains about it. She tells Matt that a man called yesterday, a Dr. Suresh. “He found you – he knows.” “Who are these people?: asks Matt.
Mohinder and Sylar, Boseman Montana. Sylar thanks Mohinder bringing him with him, says he believes in karma. A man is welding, Mohinder and Sylar enter. It's not a man, it's a woman. She's Dale Smither. Mohinder says he can help, she asks how he found her. She gave blood years ago, volunteered for the human genome project. Sylar chimes in, says he understands what she is going through. He takes a wrench and puts it in a jar, melts it. “Damn, that was my best wrench” she says. “So there really are others,” she comments. She says a cockroach parading around her house is like a parade. She can hear anything, changes in a heartbeat. “Yours for instance” she says to Sylar. “You nervous about something?” He calms down, she says if they are there to take it from her they will get a hell of a fight. They say they will come back tomorrow to test her.
Hiro is smacking himself into the door, over and over. He can't get out of the closet in Vegas. SR Gufstadon, Gaming Commission opens the door. “What's an Ando? Where's the girl, where's the suitcase?” Hiro asks him to take him with him, or she will get away “pal.”
Ted Sprague, Los Angeles. He is at his wife's grave site, telling her they are going to pay for what they did to him, to her. The grass under his feet browns.
The rooftop, Devaux Building Central Park West. Two invisible men are fighting, we slowly see them. Claude is taunting Peter, beating him. “Do something unexpected!” Peter stops Claude's blows with telekinesis, the broom handle breaks into pieces. Peter explains about his fight with Sylar in Texas. Claude says “Well then, we might just have a chance to stop you from going nuclear!” and smacks Peter in the face again.

Isaac's studio, Simone is there with Isaac. Isaac thinks Peter has left New York. She accuses him of lying, he says he's jealous and Peter is dangerous. Isaac covers the gun, she offers the key back to him. He tells her to keep it, that he would do anything for her. “Find Peter.” she says.
Hiro and H.R. - he says Hiro is just a “Japanese MapQuest” to him. They are in a car, H.R. Is driving. Hiro says Ando is his partner. H.R. Reminds Hiro that Ando took the case. Left Hiro.
Ando and Hope, Primm Nevada. Hope tells Ando not to ask too many questions. Her case falls open. It is full of casino chips. She levels a weapon at him and says she told him not to ask questions.
Mohinder and Sylar, Mohinder comments that they are getting along well. Sylar asks if Mohinder can really help her, Mohinder says he is working on an inhibitor. Mohinder tells Sylar about his father being murdered by a man named Sylar. “Even if I could come face to face with him, what difference would it make?” Sylar can tell the other heroes are out there, that they will find them all, the two of them. Mohinder now seems less confident about how well they are getting along.
Claire's mom asks if she and Claire need to talk. “Mom. You know how sometimes you forget things?” Her mother says she is waiting for the tests back from the neurologist. Claire says what if it isn't something, but someone? “What if you know a secret and they are trying to brainwash you?” Her mother has faith in her husband and the doctor's, Claire starts to speak but there's a crash. Her mother has hit the floor and is out cold.
Peter and Claude, Peter asks what it is about the pigeons. Claude says Darwin kept pigeons, switch to infrared. HRG and The Haitian stun Claude, then try to stun Peter. Peter stops the Taser nodes in mid air, grabs Claude and jumps off the building. He then flies up and away, with an angry look on his face. HRG seems to smile somewhat.

HRG's cellphone rings. “Claire, this isn't a great time.” Claire explains what happened. “I'm coming home right away.” He hangs up.
Matt & Janice, she's upset. The jeweler she went to to have her ring resized said the ring is worth $40k. He shows her the diamonds, she says he has to give them back. They were Malsky's, he's dead. They are upset, fighting. Janice says he's better than stealing and lying. Matt says he will take the diamonds to the Precinct – right then the phone rings. “What? Where are you right now?” Matt says. Janice asks who it is, he leaves without telling her.
Claude awakens, sees Peter. Claude smacks Peter right in the face. Claude accuses Peter of bringing them to him. Claude makes the connection – it's Isaac. “That's how it works, at least that's how it did in my day.” He shows Peter his marks, Claude says he's leaving. Peter says he can't do it on his own. “Then I guess you go boom” Claude says, goes invisible and leaves.
Simone and Nathan, she is telling him to have a press conference. “It's time people know what is happening, the truth” she says. Peter says that society would stick them on an island in the middle of the ocean if they knew what they can all do. “Simone, do not take this public” he says as she walks out.
Ando and Hope, H.R. And Hiro drive. up. She shoots, throws Ando to the side. He's been hit. Gunfire in the parking lot, Hiro takes cover as Ando crawls to him. This way, hurry! They climb into the compartment under a buss. Hiro says he should have never took them with him, Hope appears, points the gun at Ando. Fires. Hiro stops time. REVERSES TIME, the bullet reverses back into the gun! Hiro tells Ando he had his eyes closed. “Look Ando, not a scratch on the Versa!”
Dale is in her garage, hears something. Sylar appears. “Funny I didn't hear your footsteps.” That's because there weren't any he says. “That sound in your heart, what is it?” “Murder” he says in a weird voice.

The hospital, Claire is by her mother's bedside. “Is my mom going to be okay?” she asks the nurse. The nurse says her mother has a subdural hemorrhage, like a bruise on her brain. The area that controls memory. The nurse asks if she has been exposed to radiation, or is this domestic violence. Claire tells the nurse she wouldn't believe her, the nurse promises confidence. Claire tells the nurse there is a man who works for her father who can make people forget. The nurse says she will talk to her father.
Matt in the cemetery, Ted is behind him. Ted says the things in their neck are being used to track them. Wireless is there now. She explains that the tracking needles went to PrimaTech paper, to a man named Bennett. Ted tells Matt that the tracking isotope is in Matt too, Matt doesn't want to hear it. Ted wants Matt to go to PrimaTech with them to find out the truth, for Matt to get in Bennett's head. “I can't do this without you” Ted says. If they do this they could be heroes says Ted.
HRG arrives at the hospital, says they will be taking his wife home in the morning. HRG and Claire discuss her memory loss – she is screaming at him STOP IT! “After what you did to mom isn't that enough?” HRG tells her that this is dangerous, about Sylar breaking in, wanting to kill Claire. HRG says he never meant for her to get sick, he only wanted to protect his family. “I promise this will never happen again” he says. She pushes him away, says he can't just apologize it away.
Mohinder and Sylar, Sylar says he has a bad headache. His hearing is very intensified, the audio is all weird. Mohinder finds Dale's body, he reacts and gets sick. Sylar sees the body and smiles. He hears Mohinder dialing 911, stops him. “The top of his head was removed, it was Sylar” says Mohinder. Sylar's hearing is all off. “Zane, are you okay?” Her blue iPod mini is in a pool of blood, rap music coming out of the headphones.

The police have H.R. And Hope in cuffs. Ando hands the keys to Hiro, you should drive. Hiro walks off, tells Ando to go home. “This isn't about you. It's about me. I made a mistake by bringing you alone.” Ando argues, Hiro says too many have died since they began. “I don't know what I would do if I lost you too.” (Stan Lee is the buss driver) “Hey buddy, all by yourself?” Yes, just me says Hiro.
HRG and Claire, back at home. “Somebody has to protect this family from you.” Ted appears, Matt has his gun pointed at HRG. “I'm sure you have a lot of questions, we all do” says Matt.
Isaac is painting, his eyes are white. He's painting a face, he comes to. He's painted Peter, Peter is right behind him. Peter asks why he did it, Isaac tells him he's dangerous. He wants to know what the neck marks are, they're nothing says Isaac. “DON'T LIE TO ME” says Peter and Isaac flies backwards. Isaac draws the gun, Peter goes invisible. He says Simone left Isaac because of Isaac, not because of Peter. “SHOW YOURSELF!” yells Isaac, he fires the gun. Simone is in the doorway, three bullet holes in her chest. She has the key in her hand, she dies. Isaac and Peter look at each other.
Oh snap, Simone died.... was anyone upset over this? lol I really thought Ando was going to die, but i knew Simone was going to get killed when she went to Nathan and started talking about telling people about their special abilities, and then when Issac and Peter we're playing cat-n-mouse.... bang!
Next week's episode looks really interesting; I find the Bennet's family story to be very interesting, and it looks like we're going to get some background. I'll be in Hawai'i on vacation, but I'll have to make some time! I hope i can stay up that late!
Personally, I'm kind of glad it was Simone. She really didn't add too much to the series anymore and it kept feeling like she was just there to be there and to cause some drama between Peter and Isaac. Personally, I'm glad Peter went to Isaac about HRG and not Simone. It shows his interests are in their abilities and the fact that he was betrayed and not so much of his energy is focused into jealousy. Jealousy is the Dark Side I actually liked how he spurred Isaac with that. After reading the synopsis above I'm prepared to stand by my theory that Peter really does have Eden's power - after he tells Isaac "DON'T LIE TO ME!", he starts on about Isaac's jealousy, the fact that Isaac pushed her away, not Peter taking her away, Isaac never denies it (those things that Peter said were the truth, so if Isaac were to deny those claims, he'd be lying )
i found it kinda interesting that matt , ted and hannah were able to get it together enough to actually accomplish something, certainly was a surprise to me , looking forward to next week ,where as sometimes i find matt a weaker character this worked well.

No. And I was pretty sure too that she was not long for this world when she told Nathan she wanted to go public. I wondered whether Nathan was bad enough to order a hit on her.
I never suspected Nathan to order a hit on her. Actually, Simone's death came as a real shock to me - I didn't like her, but I didn't think it would be her tonight, just eventually. Besides, I thought the death wasn't supposed to happen until March 5th? Um, today is Feb. 20th, last I knew... Maybe Peter will use Hiro's power to go back in time, try to save Simone, and fail.. so she's still going to be the dead one, but at least he tried!

HIRO reverse the flow of time (ie, bend TIME backwards)???
