Kirby Plaza

Peter begins to absorb Ted's power and calls for Claire to stop him. She draws the gun that Peter gave to her. As she begins to aim at Peter, he stops her and states that he can control it. She lowers the gun.

Isaac's loft

Hiro and Ando--Hiro feels that now the sword is broken that he has failed in his mission. Sylar is too strong. Ando gets the yellow pages and finds a sword repair shop.

Kirby Plaza

HRG explains to Claire that they are planning to destroy the Walker tracking system. Claire tells him that maybe they all have a destiny and it is to save the world. They decide that Peter, Claire and Ted should go to a rural Nebraska town. Sylar has overheard everything and plans to tag along to Nebraska.

COMMERCIAL

Petrelli HQ

Nathan is 5 points down in the polls. Linderman says he will win and appears confident of it. Nathan syas, Ya--as long as he lets his brother explode. Linderman tells him that his father had a great power but was too waek. Nathan says his father was his Hero. Linderman heals Heidi after she enters as a reward to Nathan. Heidi asks Nathan not to sell his soul, then realizes that she can walk and is healed.

NYC streets

Peter tells Claire and Ted that he hears Sylar's thoughts...Sylar is plotting against them.

Hiro and Ando see Nathan. Nathan approaches Hiro. Hiro tells Nathan that they must stop the bomb, Hiro has been to the future and Nathan becomes a bad man. Nathan says that no one can stop the explosion and leaves Hiro. Hiro says, "You are already bad guy...villian..villian!"

Niki and DL plot to kill Linderman outside Kirby Plaza

Hiro and Ando find the sword repair shop and enter. The shop has a banner with the RNA/Godsend symbol. Hiro's father is there, he tells Hiro that he has reached the end of his journey.

COMMERCIAL

The sword repair shop

His father has been watching Hiro and becons him into a back room. Ando urges Hiro not to go, but Hiro says he must --out of respect.

Kirby Plaza Hotel

Candice has Micah and gives him several comics, including Silver Surfer #1. He tells Candice she is working for a bad guy. Linderman enters. He promises Micah that he will let him return home tomorrow. Micah can save many lives, if he does what he is told to do.

NYC streets

Claire and Peter tell Ted about who Sylar is and what he does. The FBI surrounds them and Audrey captures Ted. Audrey thanks Sylar (claiming to be Isaac Mendez) for tipping the FBI off on Ted.

Sword Repair Shop

Hiro's dad tells him that he is now worthy---ready. Hiro states that he failed to kill Sylar when he had the chance and the sword is broken. Kaito says that sword is not important, the journey is what matters...nest time when you face your enemy, you will kill him. Hiro is surprised as his father displays a masters level of swordsmanship.

COMMERCIAL

Candice takes Micah to a polling booth and has Micah vote repeatedly in numerous precincts for Nathan. She wants a landslide. Micah becomes tired after using his power.

Petrelli HQ

Niki and DL make an unexpected visit to Nathan. They explain how Linderman kidnapped their son and Niki says she is disappointed that Nathan didn't kill Linderman when he had the chance. They want to know where Linderman is. Nathan sees on TV that he has won in a landslide. He tells Niki and DL that they must "take care" of linderman if he tells them where he is.

Sword Repair Shop

Hiro retells the story of Takezo Kensei and the dragon. He learns that he must be strong enough to give up his own heart if he wants to be strong. His father says, "Show me."

Kirby Plaza building

Matt uses his ability to get inside with HRG, They bump into Niki and DL. He reads their minds and learns that they are after Linderman as well. They team up together and Niki says, "Didn't I throw you out a window?"

COMMERCIAL

Kirby Plaza

Molly is healing well and can use her ability. She locates Matt in the building. Mohinder is confused. Thompson enters and says that a helicopter will be here soon to take them to safety.

Parkman and HRG are spotted by Thompson while they are approaching Molly's suite. Thompson fires around the corner at HRG, Matt pulls him to safety. Thompson sneaks around and has a point blank aim on Matt's head. "What am I thinking now?" says Thompson. "Your last thought." syas HRG as he puts 2 caps into Thompson's brainpan.

HRG and Matt enter Molly's room. Matt asks if a little girl is the tracking system? Molly is scared. Mohinder strikes Matt on the head and aims a gun at HRG. HRG's aim is focused on Molly. They are at a stand-off.

NYC streets

Ted is being transported by the FBI. Sylar flips the vehicle holding Ted with his TK power. Ted is helplessly trapped inside the vehicle as Sylar removes his skull and steals his power.

COMMERCIAL

Sword Repair Shop

Hiro has been quickly yet thoroughly trained in swordplay by his father. He is ready to face Sylar. He goes into the main room of the shop, looking for Ando. Ando has bought a sword and begun to hunt Sylar on his own. Hiro and his father agree that Sylar will kill Ando if Hiro can't stop it.

NYC streets

Peter and CVlaire are fleeing NYC in a car. They roll up on Ted's transport vehicle and realize that Syalr has killed Ted and stolen his ability. Audrey is there as well.

Kirby Plaza Hotel

Linderman orders helicopter transport for the Petrelli family. Niki enters and throws Linderman across the room. "Where's Micah?" she demands. Linderman tells her that Micah is on the 42nd floor. He tells her that he will pay her $20mil to kill DL. Niki considers it, but refuses. Linderman snaps and shoots DL, "You should have taken the money.". Dl phases his hand through Linderman's skull, grabs part of his brain, and pulls his hand out. Linderman is dead. DL collapses on the grounded severely wounded and is comforted by Niki.

Outside Petrelli HQ

Heidi wants to walk, but Nathan says not yet in public. She is wheeled out onto the stage and Nathan begins to give his acceptance speech. His father had said that we all need to help each other. During the speech the scene is cut to:

Peter & Claire surveying Ted's corpse

Candice and Micah

HRG, Mohinder and Molly in their stand-off

Niki comforting the injured DL

Ted being zipped up in a body bag

Nathan ends his speech with, "Let us show them what we are capable of."

Top of the Deveaux building
Sylar is experimenting and learning to control Ted's ability. His eyes glow orange as he turns to face the camera and says, :"Boom."

Such a good episode. Pissed me off that Ted died though, cuz he was my fave. Sad

I expected Ted to die. Read elsewhere my theory as to who explodes:

I am sure, Peter, Hiro and Ando still have roles to play.

Sorry to see Ted go, because he was becoming a decent character. But, I didn't think the storyline could carry him. In order for the plot to be resolved, he had to die, and then one of the remaining 2 (Peter or Ted) has to explode.

Still, I was very impressed with how they resolved the Nikki/Jessica storyline, and how Linderman came to face his end.

In the end, you could not buy a mother's love for her son. This was a good "value" to put on the TV screen, methinks.

I was happy to see Niki prevail over Jessica. I half-expected Jessica to - well, I'm not going into detail, but anyone who has read any of my posts that mention Linderman probably can guess.

Nathan is back to being a jerk. It looked like he told Jessica and DL where to find Linderman after he was sure his election was secure. He had a moment of doubt about whether the explosion was a good thing when talking to Linderman. Overall Nathan's getting what he wants - the election, Heidi is cured, Peter probably won't die - so he's OK with it now. I guess there's still time next week for him to turn around again.

I was surprised that Peter and Claire left Ted with the FBI when they knew Sylar was after him. This bothers me. I know they couldn't have helped him if they'd been arrested as well, but their next step was to continue out of the city rather than try to get Ted out with them. They were trying to keep anyone from exploding, and the last thing you would want is Sylar with Ted's power. And it should have been obvious that the FBI was no obstacle to Sylar. Peter's comment that last time he fought Sylar, Sylar killed him might explain it, although he risked his life to stop Sylar before.

Peter can extend invisibility to Claire. And DL can extend phasing to Jessica (well, that started last week). Consistent with some of what we saw in Episode 20.

Candice said that the world can be unfair to people because of how they look, and later she asked Micah how he would know what she really looked like. That makes me think she has a problem with her real appearance. I don't think she's necessarily disfigured or horribly ugly (although I guess it's possible), but just very ordinary or plain.

Matt's method of getting into the elevators would not have worked at any company I've worked for that had badge access. You could see (and be seen by) the same person in security every morning for ten years and still not be able to get in without a badge. But I don't have a problem with it as part of the story.

I liked seeing Mohinder protect Molly. I knew HRG was willing to do anything to protect Claire, including doing wrong, but I thought shooting a little girl would be beyond him. Evidently it's not.

As far as I can tell, Hiro's sword was not repaired. At least not yet. The shopkeeper creeped me out a little.

Hiro is looking and acting more hero-like every minute. Awesome.

Great episode! Really set things up well for the finale, I thought. Can't wait till next week!

Great episode, Finally Hiro becomes a man and realises his true destiny (shame we didn't find out his fathers ability), also its great that Peter has lost his fear of exploding and now with a bit of luck will start to kick some ass.

Also Sylar no longer needs Claire now either to explode due to Teds emmune to his own powers. Also i cant wait for Nathan to get his comeuppance has i don't think he has any redeeming qualitys.

What annoyed me a little was if Ted can start freaking out and go nuclear when he was shot how come all he can do when someone is tearing the top of his skull off is scream. I thought his ability was connected to his emotions.

What a stuff episode. It makes absolutely no sense that Peter and Claire wouldn't help to save Ted. Peter reads Sylar mind about exploiting Ted's status as a fugitive, it should have been obvious and he should have just put 2 and 2 together. Just a convenient way of having Sylar get Ted's power IMO.

And Thompson's death seems awfully simple in the end doesn't it?

Edit: And how is it possible that Hiro learns swordfighting so quickly?

Lazy writing all around IMO.

how does he learn it so quickly? u never know....they could have been in a hyperbolic time chamber-type field. theres a billion ways to describe it, basically i mean perhaps hiro subconciouslly slowed down time for everyone but him and his father. therefore they could've trained for days, and it translates to a few minutes/hours to everyone else (like ando)

I still don't see how that's going to help, I mean Sylar's not gonna have a sword to face off with Hiro, and he's definetely not going to fight fair.

And Thompson getting killed - good. He was a slime ball, and that was so smooth on HRGs part. Oh snap!

This was probably one of the best episodes thus far, i cant wait for next week's finale... but then again, i don't want it to be here cause that means no more Heroes for a while. Confused

There are only a few small things I want to say about last night. First--- The preview for the Peter vs. Sylar in the courtyard looks SICK! But here are two theories of mine that have probably already been said. 1st I belive Hiro's dad is the samurai dude (the name i keep coming up with is Hanzo; and he's from Kill Bill). 2nd I believe Candace is really a huge fat broad that has NO SELF CONFIDENCE and that is exactly how Sylar will get her power, by exposing that weakness.... I can't wait a whole week!

What a fantastic episode i loved it!

I too agree Candace probably is not what she appears to be now, she is obviously overweight from the conversation with Micah , and the show is dropping hints that the slim candace we are used to seeing may not be her as she said how do you know this isn't my true form, well something online those lines so don't quote me on that.

What exactly have we learnt about Nikki from this episode, is she the dominant personality?

Will Nathan carry on with Lindermans plans after the apparent death of Linderman WOW 3 deaths in one episode who else is thinking new characters will soon be introduced.

Sylar Vs Peter should be interesting but i'm slightly confused with Sylars change of heart from wanting to protect the city to know wanting to destroy it doesn't make sense surely he will kill powered beings in the process which means no brains for him lol. Comments anyone?
