I would think he was fired when he was caught by Candice and Thompson received the order to kill him, but since Thompson and Linderman are now dead, HRG could possibly assume control of the company.
And I think,
the actor playing HRG (aka, Mr. Bennett) is coming back next season.
If that's all true, then HRG could very well be our next "Linderman" for next season.
Even though he's got Claire, he's still got a family to provide for, and he's going to see that there's a space that needs to be filled in the 'company'. Thus, with Thompson and Linderman both out of the picture, HRG becomes the next head of OWI. Looking for new and profitable means to get the company moving again, HRG will once again agree to the 'grey' areas, forego his attachment to Claire, and begin a new path...

What do you think about that twist PK and Herc?
Jormengrund, you should start a thread on this:
What is HRGs job next year? After all "He's comfortable with morally grey". He said so, in "Company Man". That would be a twist. And I bet, if the explosion doesn't go as expected -- which I don't think it will, there is still a place for the OWI. Why not?
One thing Episode # 22 left unanswered for me -- but I guess we'll see in Ep#23 is Mohinder having a gun pointed at HRG.
Is Mohinder now entering the "morally gray" arena? Does it depend on what he's defending? This is the same person who run when confronted by the OWI early on in the season, right? (Of course, he might have thought, they were his father's killers). Then again, he did pull the trigger on Sylar.

hi everyone... newbie here, 1st posting... reading the postings answered a few questions but still confused a bit with a couple others, think u can help?
1st- Sylar (BTW, my fave, u oughta like the anti-hero!)... what powers does he have thus far? In one episode when the cops question mohinder, i think they said 9 people had been killed the same way, skullsliced...
His own (recognizing defects, the whole watch ticking sound?)
Telekenesis - the 1st guy he killed - am i to assume TK allows u to do the headslicing & the big jumps (like when he escape from the police trying to get molly the 2nd time?)
Liquifying objects - Zane Taylor (btw, how did sylar find him?)
Superhearing - the mechanic
future visions - isaac
going nuclear - ted
super memory? - provided he killed charlie (again, how did he find her? why didn't he recognize/kill hiro then?)
freezing? where did he get this?
2- What happened to the haitian, claire's (biological) mom and claude?
3- whyle sylar was at mohinder's, he got to see the map, right? if he's got charlie's powers, he should be able to remember all the names/addresses, right? did mohinder ever show him the list?
4- Peter- if he was closed to sylar, could he have absorb all the different powers sylar had? Ever thought what would happened if peter absorb jessica's powers? would it be just the superstrength?

Here is my take:
He has his original power to understand how "things work". This allows him to know how to extract the source of the power as well as quickly learning how to use the power.
Telekenisis-Taken from his first victim
Freezing-Gained somewhere along the line in his original killings
Jumping ability-Although it could be tied into his TK, I think this is a seperate power in itself
Dense Sking or TK Shielding- Something protects his body at some level as we've seem him quickly heal from bullet wounds and was able to stop Hiro's blade. Could have been an ice barrier on his skin too. I think its either a tough skin type of power or its him using his tk ability to give himself a protective membrane.
Recall/Learning-Presumably gained by Charlie
Molecular Decomposition- Taken from Zane Taylor, I think he got this name off the answering machine or phone in place of Mohinder.
SuperHearing-Gotten from Dale the female mechanic
Painting the Future-Taken from Isaac, responsible for his "snapping" from self-justified killing to mass murderer
Nuclear Explosion/Radiation Control-Taken from Ted

?
The Haitian is presumably still working for the Petrelli's and we see him 5 years in the future. Claude is a really good question, when Sylar left really quick after claiming to be Mendez and turning in Sprague, I questioned whether that was his jumping ability or maybe he got to Claude. Claire's mom is in Mexico, she talked of leaving the last time we saw her.

I think Mohinder suspected him since the death of Dale, so he never showed him the list. He probably saw the map but I suspect he knew most of those locations already.

Interesting Question, I think that Peter probably did absorb those powers but he never saw Sylar use them powers so doesn't know he even has access to them. We also haven't seen use multiple powers at a time, in exception to stopping time then using a power. I think Superstrength is Jessica's main power, and that the personalities are a seperate issue. It is important to realize that Jessica RELINQUISHED control to Nikki in order to save her family. What would be neat to see is if when around Sylar if certain powers of Peter's gets amplified and augmented, like the radioactive power that he got from Sprague.
All I can say is that this episode was so full of eye candy! Masi is such a hottie! It was cool seeing him practice sword fighting and no glasses! I was happy to see that Hiro's dad isn't as bad as I thought he was going to be.
Zack Quinto is drool worthy and the bestest made for TV baddie there ever was! Boom? Heck yeah hon. Boom!
Mohinder was all sweet and adorable and beautiful! His character is really developing well from what it was.
Can't wait to see the throw down between Peter and Sylar!
And Ando? Had better NOT die!! What the freak was he thinking, going after Sylar like that? He has no fighting skills!
I think Nathan is not the Jerk. that many think he is and that they have written him to appear, Hes gunna be the one to regain his faith, hes been a Puppet yes but hes gunna cut the strings very quickly, and truley be a HERO. Check out my Avatar it has been the same since i made it.Well this is what i believe any way.
The epi was great yes, but one thing it still left unanswered for me -- but I guess we'll hopefully see in Ep#23 (so we donīt have to wait until season 2!) what Sylar does with the brains after cutting the skulls wide open....

This could happen, but Nathan definitely looks like he could go either direction to me. For some reason I'm developing a perverse desire to see Peter be wrong about Nathan - I think because I'd like to see Peter be less dependent on Nathan.

It's OK with me if we never find out. I really don't want to see it.

Sorry to disappoint you but...
The writers already said they won't answer that until season 2.

Re-watching the episode now - anyone else notice when Ando pulled out the Yellow Pages and found the ad for Jittetsu Arms that the symbol was plastered right in the middle of the ad?
I think that's why Hiro and Ando picked that place to fix the special Kensei sword. Hiro whined that it would be hard to find another place to do so, but they saw the symbol as a sign I believe, that's why they went there.
I seem to recall, in the future, Sylar using DL's power (phasing) after zooming out of the ceremony looking like Nathan. As DL died this last ep, doesn't that mean that the future we just saw is already changed? I can't think of how Hiro and/or Ando changed it already. Is this a plot hole, or am I missing something.
Did u actually see DL DIE or DYING? There is a difference, u know
Curiously, if Ando is holding the 9th wonder .... y doesn`t he flip to the end and take steps to prevent it from transpiring. Imagine this, when he leaves the sword repair shop, he could have a million choices on where he should start his search for Sylar. Instead, the last time we see Ando in 22, he seemed very purposeful in knowing where to look with the comic guiding him. Ever heard of the term "self fullfiling prophecy"? In 20, Peter tells Ando that Hiro changed when Ando died during the explosion. Isaac must have meant for Ando to die by providing him the means of locating Sylar.
