In case you missed this episode, here is a synopsis of what happened. Feel free to add if I missed anything.

Heroes Chapter 3 Image Gallery

Niki finds a hand with a skull ring in the desert while she buries the men she killed. DL's crew wore the rings. DL took two millions dollars from Linderman, killed his crew and disappeared - allegedly. Micah may know where DL is hiding out.

Hiro was gone for two days when he teleported five weeks into the future and came back?

Hiro is able to bring items with him when he time travels - the comic book.

Peter tried jumping from a swing in a playground and he can't fly.

Mohinder finds an address book hidden in his father's laptop, with Sylar's address and a key.

Matt is going to work for the FBI.

Simone leaves Issac.

Hiro can move within stopped time, and saves a little girl from being hit by a truck.

Niki tells DL's mom to stay out of their lives.

Mohinder goes to Sylar's apartment, finds that Sylar has a better map in a hidden room with photographs and addresses, as well as a room with "Please Forgive Me" written on the walls in blood.

At the FBI office, Sylar tries to take the young girl, and makes the blond police officer put her gun to her head when cornered. Matt shoots him seven times, Sylar then gets up after taking seven rounds and flies away?

Hiro and Anto fly to Los Angeles (in a plane).

Claire and her date are at a bonfire.

Matt & wife are having problems - Matt leaves when he hears her thoughts saying "Just leave."

Claire & boyfriend making out on the bleachers, gets too heavy and boyfriend forces himself on her. Claire is pushed, falls and takes a stick to the back of the head - she's dead.

Niki & Micah are pulled over by the police who turns out to be the mob. Fake or bad cop says "Linderman wants to see you."

Peter sees Simone at a campaign party, tells her he is in love with her. Nathan's wife is unable to be there - why?

Nathan announces at the campaign party that Peter tried to kill himself, a lie.

Hiro & Anto rent a car to drive to Las Vegas from LAX because the comic says they do. Anto sees a url, lasvegasniki.com on his iPod screen while watching Niki's striptease video.

Matt goes to a bar, starts to read the patrons minds. Sees a mysterious man whose thoughts he cannot hear. Passes out - drugged?

Mohinder goes back to Sylar's apartment with the police, which is now bare and has been cleaned - no evidence.

Peter punches Nathan. Twice.

Peter and Simone kiss in the rain under a red umbrella. Issac sees this happen in his drawing.

Someone wearing a latex glove removes the stick from Claire's head, she gasps and coughs and her eyes go from cloudy dead to clear. She is on an autopsy table, her chest fully dissected.

Possibly but not confirmed. He could have teleported back at the exact instant he left, and done something random for two days before rushing to his friend.

Possibly but not confirmed. Was he holding the comic when he traveled back? Maybe the comic on the stand (5 weeks in the future) was lingering there for a couple extra weeks? Thus, the comic would be readily available in the present, when Hiro travels back. Besides, the last half of the comic happened in present-day time, which would have been the "past" if the comic hadn't already been printed in the present...make sense?

My theory is that the brothers can only fly when in physical proximity to each other. That would explain it. But it would also negate the idea of Nathan being a villain, as some others have guessed at.

Sylar has some form of telekinetic power, obvious from his victims being killed through "impossible strength". How fine tuned is his telekinetic control? If it is very fine anc controlled, every other "power" he displayed could be displayed by it. The "mind control" could have been telekinetic manipulation of the officer's hand/arm. The "invulnerability" could have been stopping the bullets - although this appears unliekly as there would have been bullets on the ground. ...but was there blood on the ground? Did the bullets HIT sylar or not? If not, how do we explain his falling on the ground?

Also, "flight" could be accomplished through telekinetics. But did you notice they didn't actually show him flying, or did I miss it? They show him "disappearing", the cop guy runs to the spot and looks up to see...nothing, right? How do we know he flew away? Maybe teleportation, or invisibility, or just a guy who can hide real fast?

Didn't they fly to LA? That would explain the car rental and trip to Vegas, since Vegas is "kinda" on the way to either New York or Texas, assuming the plot sidetracks them to go save the cheerleader chick. Either way we know the plot is going to bring them through Vegas to encounter the stripper chick. Also flying into LA from Japan makes more sense.

This part really disappointed me. All of a sudden I'm watching an 80's soap opera. "I've loved you since the first day I laid eyes upon you!" Give me a break. Terrible writing, in what was otherwise a very well written episode.

Again, wasn't it LA?

Yet another CSI scene. Although at least they were mercifully brief with it. Although at this point my wife is already long gone as a potential viewer. So maybe they should just pull out the stops and do whatever - I'll still watch.

Welcome to the board Whodack! I'm going to really enjoy discussing this show with you. Smile

True, although his enthusiasm when he saw his friend led me to believe that he teleported back and saw his friend very soon after.

Also true, although didn't Simone mention to Issac that the publisher called and he was late on his comic? Which issue he was late on wasn't made clear.

I like your theory better than the popular "Peter mimics others powers" theory.

The method he used to get away wasn't made clear, but there was a distinct "swoosh" noise and then when Matt looked up he was gone.

Did I actually type NY? I meant to type LAX.

I have no idea what I was thinking. Yes, they fly into LAX, then plan to drive to Vegas.

For some reason this one didn't bother me as much. Maybe the show is desensitising me to violence? Wink

That would be very interesting, but remember that Peter DID draw the future before he walked through the air when talking to Peter.

It wasn't made clear but the cop did look up as it happened and Sylar was gone. I would say he either flew or at least leaped unp.
