As far as Peter's ability to absorb powers, I feel he will never keep them permanently. If he does, the other peron would have to lose his power or something. The key to Peter's power is understaning who he is around and what powers they have. At least in my opinion.

Now I've only seen the episode once, so maybe other people noticed more than myself, but so far these are a couple thoughts that I've come across.
1. Peter absorbs the power of the radioactive power, but can't control it.
2. Peter absorbs too many powers and kind of over charges, exploding as a result.
3. Some people are saying that they think he may be linked to Syler somehow, that leading to his explosion.
So what does everyone think. I think I'm more partial to the radioactive guy theory, but then again, he wasn't anywhere in the vision. Hmmmmm.......I guess I don't know. |
I personally wonder if Peter absorbs Sylar, what will happen? Sylar has infused himself with so many powers will this be the resaon for Peter to explode. |

Okay . . . I don't think Peter can hold a power indefinitely, and here's my reasoning, albeit this theory has been concocted w/out the information from the Jan. 22 episode:
When Peter had his run-in with Sylar and fell from the roof of Claire's school with him, he most likely died or was "at death's door". We know Claire can come back from the dead, but Peter was probably not quite dead because he was able to borrow her powers and revive. After re-watching the Homecoming epi. on Sci-Fi last night, it was obvious that Petey-boy was WRECKED: it looked to me like he had to twist his entire lower body around, so his back was probably broken and everything. Okay, Claire goes off to get the fuzz and Petey's still able to fix his foot (still retaining a touch of Claire's regeneration) when they finally arrive. (Oh yeah, who called them? HRG? I don't think Claire got the chance). Blahblahblah, he gets out of jail, has his infamous vision (sickdream, maybe?) and collapses. We can assume from the previews that he's not in the best of health in the next episode; he's in the hospital, probably in a coma. He wasn't looking very good in jail, and this brings me to the point of this whole drawn-out thought process-- almost dying CAN'T be good for you, and I doubt his body had the chance to mend all the internal damage before his "borrowing" of the regen power ran it's course. That's why he's in the hospital; his normal healing processes had to take over and the shock to his system was too great. He DOES NOT retain powers for long after the originator of said power has flown the coop, and he's just found out that this can REALLY suck for him. Okay, I think that's it. If I've left anything out, or gotten anything glaringly wrong, I'm sure you'll all let me know. |

| I think that at least for now he needs to be in the presence of the original heroe that has the power, he is "useless" without another heroe around or he could fly anytime after taking his brother's power or he could see the future anytime after being with isaac but he hasn't prove that, although the "dream" in cap 11 is not clear if is a vision of the future and so it would be the power of Isaac reused |

| Peter is a very interesting character. I believe, I repeat that I believe, Peter will and can turn powers into good, or bad. My thought is he will find out in a bad way. |

| Maybe if he develops his Mimicry, he will be able to hold the powers longer, but I doubt he'll be able to hold them permanently. |

| And maybe if he develops his Mimicry he could use two or more powers at once because if he actually can't control one power at a time not to think about two. |
