So, what do you think? Did Kaito know that Adam Monroe was actually Kensei at one point in his life?

My thought is that he didn't. What I think is that when Adam and Kaito were once friends, Adam told Kaito of the legendary Japanese hero named Kensei. Kaito believed Adam because he knew that Adam was immortal, so he most likely was alive during the days of Kensei. What Kaito didn't know is that Adam was the one who created the Kensei persona and was furthermore a "bad" guy.

The reason I think Adam told Kaito of the "hero" Kensei is because Kaito then told the story to Hiro. If Kaito knew that the original Kensei was actually a fake and a murderer, he most certainly would not have told Hiro those stories.

Thoughts?

I agree that he didnt know Adam was the original Kensei. Furher proof is that he asked Hiro to tell him all about it when Hiro mentioned that he was in the time of Takezo Kensei, im certain Kaito would have said something about having met Kensei before and im even more certain that Adam would have kept that hidden from Kaito since he knew the name Nakamura from Hiro, the man he swore to make miserable so long as he lived.

I doubt it. First, the stories that were passed down by Yaeko were of Hiro, not Adam. Second, Kaito himself said he had never timetraveled. I don't think he'd be able to know unless Adam directly told him so.

Adam probably wanted to stay in secrecy so that he could wait to kill Hiro's dad, and everyone he loves without suspicion or whatever.

I wish they were able to elaborate more on the original 12, seemed like a good plot to follow.
