So the contents of the vault (along w/Strain 138 and a preserved brain) are nagging at my thoughts....
Complementing the strain and brain (LOL) are:
A figurine of what appears to be the Trojan Horse
A gold key
A gray pyramid model
A kris, similar to that carried by St. Joan
Three playing cards (the Queen of Hearts, Queen of Diamonds, and Queen of Spades)

What do you guys think about these objects? |

I think the brain belongs to Charles; and it is still active. I believe Charle's abilitiy is to manipulate the space-time continum, and can only manifest himself to the consciousness of those who are not awake to the physical world. I believe his ability is so powerful; he can still manifest his power appearing to others; and that is why they have preserved his brain.
And I want to clairify my theory that despite his power existing in the 'dream world' so to speak; I believe if he takes you to a place; and time; you are actually physically there as real as the world is once you are awake. And I don't know why but I believe that he could use his power to kill if nessicary; even tho I think he is one of the 'good guys'. The reason the company has his brain is one day study it and discover how Charles consciousness and powers can exist post-mortem.
As for the other items; I have not been inipiried to any elaborate theories; although I have a strong feeling that the Pyramid will somehow be connected to Maya; the gold key will be connected to the Parkman family, and the Trojan horse will be connected to Elle and Claire; as I have a feeling they're related.
(reasoning: If Elle didn't have her powers when the company brought her in then I think her "grandma's" house that burned down when she was young; was either also burned down by Claire's pyro mom; or it was the same house. Explaing further; I think they have the same mother, but Nathan is only Claire's father) |

Alright, I am going to take a crack at my own thread here....
The brain is from Isaac's Dad (Carlos Mendez from the photo, I can't confirm its his dad for sure, but its gotta be more than coincidence) which gives the company the benefit of precog without having to try and convince a meta that their cause is the right one.....
The cards are Lindermans. I say this because he owns a casino.
The trojan horse represents the company as a whole....coming in under the cover of Primatech paper, their actual mission is to control specials and make sure they don't expose the company.
The golden key is something like "the key to the city" that Adam had brought along with him from the past. I think this key unlocks something in Japan from long ago...
The Kris is Kaito's (couldn't really think of anything good for this)
Now the gray pyramid represents something like that of the US $1 bill. The "slogan" on the bill is Novus Ordo Seclorum, which roughly translates to "a new order of the ages". This pyramid belonged to Adam, as he most likely saw the United States become the economic superpower that it is.
The stand and box that are empty were things that adam took when he was first in the vault by himself. I think one of these things will get him out of Kaito's coffin. |

| Here's what I think about the golden key. It's the key to all the cells that this new season's villains are locked up in. I just rewatched the episode, and Adam has the virus in his hand, but the ONLY other compartment that is opened is the one with the golden key, and Adam was grabbing for it when Hiro walked in the room. My thoughts are that Adam was going to release the virus, but he still had certain disciples he wanted to keep alive that were locked in the basement. It seemed to me that his next step was to tell peter that he had friends the company locked away who could help their cause, and he was going to set them free with the key. I think when Sylar is at primatech, he will break free from the company, find this vault and the meaning of the key and open the cells setting loose the villains of volume 3. I mean, if they didn't throw away the key like they did Adam's, it's my opinion that they would have at least locked the key somewhere where it would have been extremely hard to get to. |

| Why would a company seriously lock up prisoners with something as low tech as a metal key? It seems they would have much better means of locking these folks up. |
