Guess Ohio St wasn't as good as the talking heads said! LSU put it to them again. OSU has the recipe for how to get to the title game though. Schedule weak teams in non-conference play, and then win a mediocre conference and you'll get to the title game unless you lose 2 games. I'd really like to see a playoffs between the remaining BCS teams who won their bowl game. That would be nice!
Being at the BCS Champ game was awesome. The OSU fans were very cordial. They offered congrats to passing LSU fans on a regular basis. The SEC was dominate in bowl action going 7-2, including 2 BCS bowl wins for the 2nd consecutive season. I believe that it was LSU's travails through the SEC that allowed them to overcome the quick start made by OSU.

So in the race for the playoffs, who do you think is going to win between these four teams?
First, we've got Seattle and Green Bay. My pick? Well, even though I'm a Seahawk cheering section guy because of where I live, I have to say that Favre and the Pack are going to be one heck of a tough match to beat. I look for the Packers to walk away 35 to 14.
Next? We've got the Giants and the Cowboys. I've got to say that Eli and the Giants haven't really impressed me this year. I look for Romo and the 'Boys to take this one with little trouble. Cowboys 42, Giants 21.
For the most part, I agree with you Jorm. However, I think that if the weather yurns nasty in Green Bay, that actually Seattle is better prepared to deal with the harsh conditions. I believe that game could be much closer than many people think.
It is tough to beat any team twice and tougher still 3 times. If TO is out, the Cowboys may struggle, but I think Eli Manning will lead the Cowboys to victory with a couple of interceptions.
I'll take Favre over his old coach any timer. I can see Favre in the Super Bowl one last time before he retires.
As for the Cowboys, they were impressive earlier in the year, but they really looked terrible in the last 3-4 games of the year. If Eli and the Giants play like they did against the Patriots and the Tampa Bay Bucs last weekend, you better forget the Cowboys. I see the Pack over the Giants in the Championship game.
In the AFC, as much as I hate the Patriots, I expect the Jaguars to give them a really close game Saturday night. If the Patriots DO WIN, then there is going to be a Patriots against the Colts championship game in New England.
Again, I'll be pulling for the Colts, but I would not be surprised if the Patriots pulled it out in the end (it would be home game after all).
I hope the Super Bowl turns out like this:
Green Bay Packers - New England Patriots : 34 - 27
After which Brett Favre announces his permanent retirement.
Gotta say I was surprised by the games yesterday! I thought the Colts would come thru in the end. What a gutty effort by the Chargers. Gates goes out, LT goes out, Rivers goes out, and they still drive the ball down the field and score a game winning TD! Alot people thought the Giants would beat the Cowboys, I for one didn't. I thought the Cowboys offensive line got dominated yesterday and the Giants had Romo running for his life all game. Looks like Herc's Superbowl Matchup just might happen!
I have to say that when Green Bay is firing on all cylinders, they're a really tough team to take on. That, and Mr. Favre himself is a machine. There's nothing that can contain Brett when he's in the "zone"!
Watch out Pats! If Green Bay makes it to the dance, there's going to be some serious shaking going on!
