I think by saving Peter, Gabriel screwed himself with Arthur. Not to say he wasnt already screwed, but that might have made things worse.

What about an alternate theory? Perhaps "Arthur" saved Peter?

Answer: I highly doubt this! I really think it was Sylar slowing his TK ability to the point Peter survived.

THEORY: Sylar used his new ability to see the past & history to simply understand that everything Arthur was telling him was "A LIE". ----This is why he saved Peter and has taken on the responsibility of bringing down Arthur. His I.A. will also serve him well in this endeavor! (which also leads him to get to know "Elle" so much better.)

as far as we saw, He didnt touch Arthur.

Which is probably a good idea on his part.

I'd say he just disbelieves him anyway.

I'm not real clear on Arthur's ability... Obviously, powers are absorbed, but look at the differences in the incidents we've seen: Adam: was destroyed, Peter: quick but painful, Maya: seemed like a laborious process for Arthur and for Maya, then Arthur seemed to have an uncontrolled exhibition of her power momentarily (the black eyes). Arthur healed right up after Adam. He's loving his new electrical power, using it rather frequently. Interesting that two of his offspring have abilities that let them take/absorb the powers of others... are they all the same power, just exhibited in different fashions????

With the new leak that Sylar is actually a mimic also, next episode will probably show where he got IA from (which I believe to be the first power he mimiced)....I think Sylar got mindwiped before he knew about his mimicry, then Angela gave him up to the Gray's to hide him from Arthur. Unknowingly good at watch repair (using his acquired IA) Gabriel started to get the hunger....

PK - I'm thinking Maya's power (now Arthur's) is going to have something to do with the Eclipse. This whole Arthur having a God complex - perhaps wanting to be GOD is going to become more and more evident.

I see a lot of correlation and similarities between Arthur and Sylar. (notice I did not use the name Gabriel.) Both are power hungry and ruthless no matter what stands in their way. Of course, we know that currently Gabriel is in conflict with himself right now, which I'm sure Arthur was also at once upon a time.

Thought: What was the one cancellation/balance to Maya's power? Her brother Alejandro. Perhaps Peter will go back in time (with Hiro) in order to absorb his power. I sure hope Arthur does NOT steal Hiro's power.
