We have been led to believe that Angela does indeed have a power, but as yet we have not seen it. She did however use her mind in some fashion to determine that Matt was reading her thoughts and ordered him to get out of her head.
If I was Matt in that interrogation room I would have freaked when she did that little mind scream, lol. I don't think it has something to do with her mind. But she is aware of a lot of the people with abilities and what they can do.
I think she was aware that he had an ability because out of no where he is questioning her about revenge. SO she watched him and as he tried to read his mind she "screams" at him. Its cool how calm she stayed the whole time.
She probably didn't know that he could read her mind until he called her on her own thought. This woman is not a moron (despite some actions that might lead us to believe her so), and is obviously a master manipulator. Plus, she's lived all or a great portion of her life around other people who have powers, perhaps developing a defensive mental posture to such things. I say she does have a power . . . maybe it could be something that let her tell if another person had an ability, or even what it is. Kind of lame, but that could be it . . .
Yeah I'm wondering what her power is as well. I agree she didn't know he could read her thoughts until he started using the info against her. I'm wondering if she is going to turn out to be a villian? She seems sorta shady to me. I guess since she was attacked last night it would lead me to believe that her powers might not involve something aggressive, but maybe more of an awareness. Unless of course she staged the attack against herself?
I just figured that she has had dealings with a telepath before and knows what mental intrusion feels like. I was actually more surprised by the revelation about her and Hiro's dad.

Honestly, her ability need not be anything to do with brains. Matt was stupid enough to echo what she'd just thought. So she yelled in her head - as an experiment probably - only to have her suspicions proven when he flinched. Totally his fault for being unsubtle. He shoulda asked some other questions and gradually worked his way around to 'revenge'.
Angela's power... hmm hmm... kinda looks like some of them (her and Kai at least) made a pact to not use their abilities perhapse. I can think of no other reason for their apparent determination not to use them.
Honestly, you really shouldn't be rofl-ing at a mod Squeaker.
Are we still taking into account that spoiler from season 1 that says her power is similar to someone we know but she can get from point A to point B a lot easier?
If so, let's think about that......it may NOT be so farfetched to think she has a mind power similar to matt's......especially if that spoiler rings true.
You just clicked something in my mind when you said that.
During the whole FUSOR GN in the summer, we had this debate if the woman who ended-up being the villain (Fusor?) was indeed Angela or maybe her daughter.
We also debated whether she was some kind of life-force vampire. I don't want to restart the whole debate here. But, it is possible to say, that if she had some sort of empathic or Sylar like ability, but in order for it to work she had to suck life force out of you "she can get from point A to point B a lot easier" that Sylar can... Does that make sense?
Sylar has to eat brains -- has to physically take them out of the brain case and study them and/or consume the appropriate "condons" (or DNA bits).
On the other hand, Angela absorbs powers, by absorbing life force. Much shorter that Sylar.
