I dont think that both parents HAVE to have a power, for the child to have a power. But that's my opinion. I imagine that Vicoria Pratt does/did have a power, for some reason, we just didnt get to see it, which completely sucks! They made such a big deal about her being on the show, then she gets a tiny little part?! Anyway I like where Delghetto is going with this. So, she basically is showing a combination of powers. So maybe in the past, she has killed someone so that she could absorb there powers, (like Sylar) that would explain her combo powers.
Maybe she wasnt as bad as Sylar, but she has repetedly said that she is ashamed of all of the horrible things she/they have done in the past. Just like when she confessed to killing Kaito, she didnt actually do it, but she said that she had killed enough other people, it didnt matter which persons death she admitted to. Right there shows you that she was a killer! And maybe at the time, she thought that it was actually helping the world, maybe the people she killed were "Bad guys" and she absorbed there powers with "Good intentions" It's very plausible!!

Actually, Hatcher didn't say that Angela HAS TAKEN powers like Sylar has done. What he said is that she can understand HOW powers work just LIKE Sylar can. Sylar took his power one step further BY taking other people's powers. Maybe Angela never realized that she could do that. Maybe if she did, she did not want to stoop that low (by killing people).
But Hatcher's theory does make some sense -- remember, Angela has not exhibited any powers outright, BUT she does understand EXACTLY how powers work, and she manipulates others. BUT, most of the manipulation is the political animal in her.
I could get to like this theory... a lot. The facts fit it.....
Well Hatcher said that it was possible that Angela HAD taken powers in the past, but just chooses not to. I agree with this, because of what she was saying when she was in the police station, when she was admitting to Kaito's murder. She said she didnt kill Kaito but she had killed enough other people that it didnt matter which murder she was charged with! That is what makes me agree with him! I think that she (in the past) killed some "Specials" and has there abilities, that would explain why she seems to have all of these varied abilities!! But hey....that's just my opinion!! And ya know what they say about opinions!!
I have just watched the last episode of season 1 and seem to recall that angela was rubbing nathans back when she persuaded him not to go after claire, so I think it could be the touching persuade, as the camera zoomed in on it happening.

I don't think so otherwise Peter would have manifested more abilities. Peter's dream precognition I woudl think comes from Charles Deveaux (Charles dream't of Peter flying the night he died). That seems clear.
If I was to take a guess at Anegla's ability it might be something passive like the ability to identify other "specials". Sucky power for her, but seems to fit with her knowing about her sons manifestations before they did, and let's face it, how is the company able to identify specials all around the globe.

Yes, But we've been discussing in here recently, that Peter can only absorb the abilities that people either---A. are using at that time.....or B.He cant absorb abilities the same way if they are stolen. I.E.-Peter cant absorb all of Sylars stolen abilities. So, if Angela has stolen abilities, then Peter would not be able to absorb them in the same way that he absorbs someones "natural" abilities!
Yeah, the writers have said that Peter has absorbed all of Sylar's powers, but they haven't actually shown us anything on the show yet. They did the same thing, but opposite when they said Peter can't use more than one at once and then showed us instances when he did.
I believe people overlook how Angela Petrelli power first appears in the first episode. I strongly suspect that somehow, in some mysterious way it is related to her being caught for shoplifting socks. It's hard to get more insidious than that!

i believe you are on the money with that theory. the reason she gave for that always stuck with me, " wanting to feel alive again".
well, that might have been because she hadn't used her power in a while, and she is apparently used to committing crime with that power. I'm not sure how that power could relate to socklifting, but it is at least supposed to be similar to another power we've seen
