Ok, so I've just come up with a theory for the painting we saw at the end of ep. 3, here it is:
So, Sylar has Betty's (aka Candice, aka Michelle) ability now right? Let's assume he does have the virus and finds the cure. Remember how HRG treated him last season when all he wanted was Claire's power?
Here's the sitch: Sylar tracks down HRG and Claire, finds out Claire has a boyfriend that can fly, thinks to himself "Hmm, that'd be handy!", kills West, then poses as him through the use of Candice's power, convinces Claire to help him kill HRG. So now HRG is dead and out of Sylar's way, and Sylar is free to snack on Claire's brain. What do you guys (and gals) think?
Even under the guise of West, it would be weird for Sylar to be kissing Claire... (she's still underage on the show.)
BTW, are we all in agreeance that the other paintings will still be of the memebers of the 12 who will be killed off? I know HRG kinda throws that off, but still...
I managed to screencap the painting and it's raising some questions for me. Now, because she's kissing the guy, we assume it's West, but all we see is a shadow. Secondly, the hairstyle isn't that of West, but more like Sylar's. Check out the pictures:
I know it looks that way but I'm not sure that's necessarily a kiss. It could easily be someone in the process of pulling her into a comforting embrace. Which is less creepy when you consider the hair style also resembles Nathan.
The dimensions of the painting are throwing me off because they are usually quite accurate with details. What's throwing me are the bullet holes above Noah that look like he was shot through glass that he standing in front of (based on the size of the holes compared to the one in his glasses. Yet Claire is on the same side of it and from a distance...
EDIT: If Noah is standing in front of a mirror, that would answer my confusion above.
I don't know if ANYTHING would convince Claire to kill her father, and I wouldn't want Sylar to succeed at killing Claire.
Other than that, I like the story idea. Sylar impersonates West to get at Claire (plus flight is a power he'd probably like).
Do we know for sure whether or not Sylar took Eden's ability? I want to say yes and, if so, that would convince her to kill him. It would also explain the very surprised look on Noah's face.
Otherwise, I agree that she probably couldn't be convinced.

At first glance and given the story that West told, I assumed that it was West and Claire kissing over Noah dead body. I couldnt wrap my head around that. Claire didnt seem like a killer and certainly not sick enough to kiss while her dad lay on the ground shot. After seeing it again, I agree that they are not kissing but she is being held back from seeing the body.
1 of 8 was of Kaitos death. There are 7 originals so whoever will kill all 7 of them and Noah?? Could this be West then? He seems like he could kill all of them and then seek revenge on HRG only to find out later it is Noah.
Well, I wouldn't think he'd use Eden's ability to convince her. And no, he didn't get her power, unless he learned how to put brains back together.
Out of curiosity, why wouldn't he? It would be more effective than using West's persona alone given how long she's known West and how close she is with her father. I can certainly see him impersonating West to get close to her, but I think it'd take more to convince her to kill him.
I know there was discussion about how Eden died but that alone still requires an assumption (regardless of how logical it seems) as to whether or not Sylar took her ability. Meaning as long as he had all the pieces, he could have. I was asking about confirmation...
It could very well be West..The company is tracking him.Plus Mr gold man maybe more dangerous than we think.I mean if turn humans into gold.than might be seeing a gold Monhinder.Well Syler can't do anything nowand How would even find claire anyway. He has no tracking ability.Unless he goes and finds Molly and eats her brain first. He would have to find her first though.Which would be even tougher than finding Claire. We will see Sylar May even save the day by helping to defeat who ever this new bad guy is.
Actually Tim Kring and Zach Quinto have said that Sylar DOES EAT a little BIT of the brain.
And earlier on, I wasn't saying that Sylar acquired Eden's power, I was showing how silly it was thinking that Sylar could have Eden's power when she shot herself in the head.
