I think insider said Angela would be the only one left at the end of generations. Besides, she was there in the future when Peter sees her, remember? Maybe Bob is killed and she ends up being the only one left and therefore ends up taking control of the company.
Bah... the future in the Heroes timline means nothing to me for sole reason that Peter and Hiro are trying to change it, which furthermore means that "the future isn't written in stone"
Kring clearly stated (specifically in reference to the HRG painting) that not all paintings have turned out they way they seem.
There are two paths this painting can take, IMO:
1) HRG is shot in the eye with either a bullet, or with Elle's electricity. West flies Claire away so they aren't harmed either. Bob heals HRG with Claire's blood, but sends the Butlers an urn of ashes to make it seem like they are HRG's, and then:
a) either Claire is kept in the dark about HRG being healed or
b) she is brought back to The Company and told her father is alive, but in prison, and can only see him if she co-operates.
Popkorn, I was wondering why Bob would bring Noah back to life, but if your B theory is right, and I hope it is, then it makes sense. It seemed illogical to me when I watched it, but that would definitely make sense since they want Claire for her blood.
I miscalculated - Maxx posted the theory before me - so all kudos go to Maxx!
But my part 2 of the theory still holds true (The Company will tell Claire she can see her father, who is alive, but only if she cooperates with them).
But why would Elle want to revive him? I think maybe somebody else could have done it, like the Haitian. He seems to be conveniently missing even though it was obvious he and HRG were working together again. Or maybe Mohinder and HRG actually were in cahouts still. Bob may have done it also, but Elle seems too disturbed to be able to save anyone's life. Unless she saved him to torture him and kill him over and over.
I think Bob did it with Claire's blood (in the conservatory). Bob knew how the series of 8 ended, and that is why he drew Claire's blood prior to the meeting; it wasn't to save Nikki, it was to revive HRG once he was shot. Why he would do this, I have no idea, but I'm sure he has his reasons...

No, I don't think so. If Bob was trying to prevent HRG's death, why give Mohinder a gun in the first place. I'm still thinking Adam has a hand in this. He wants to bring down the Company, too.
Last we saw him, Adam was in Canada. The indications we have are that he will go to Primatech. On the other hand, Bob had easy access to HRG's body. The facility where HRG awoke looks remarkably similar to the cell where Adam/Peter were being held by the Company. I don't think Bob was trying to prevent HRG's death. The older generation seems to be much more advanced when it comes to understanding how things will come to pass; I think Bob knew HRG was going to die and will use that death to his advantage but still have the wildcard of his being alive in case he needs him (read: Bob is near death with Claire in earshot; he can say "Claire, your dad is still alive. Help me and I'll get you to him."). The older generation always has an ace in the hole, and I think HRG is Bob's.
Superhiro, you bring up an excellent point in general.
In my opinion, here's my order of who I think did it, from most likely, to least likely, and why they did it:
1) Bob healed HRG with Claire's blood because he needs more of Claire's blood, so reviving him and eventually telling her will get her to cooperate.
2) Mohinder healed HRG with Claire's blood with Bob's permission. He told Bob that if they wouldn't let him revive HRG (he could be securely kept in a prison), he would stop working for and helping The Company.
Actually, now that I think about it, I originally had The Haitian, Adam, and Peter on that list too, but I took them off just now. My only two options are Bob and Mohinder, meaning I think that The Company definitely healed HRG, whoever it was. Why do I think this? Because there is NO way that The Company would have left HRG's body there. Just because the body wasn't with Mohinder, Elle, & Bob in the car doesn't mean that it wasn't picked up by someone else from The Company. We know that they ALWAYS clean up after themselves, and this situation is no different in my opinion. Bob would not have foolishly left HRG's body for anybody else to claim.
Furthermore, in episode 11, it is said that:
"H.R.G. heads back to his cell. H.R.G. works on Elle, Bob has Claire problems. Disappointed Bob benches Elle."
Let's see if this Popkorny theory comes to pass (considering that it's not as ridiculous as some of the other ones haha)
Adding to Superhiro's list...
I guess we'll find out more about Adam's old buddy, Evan, more next week.
I definitely agree with PK that the company has more leverage with Claire when HRG is alive and under their control. How and when they share this news to Claire will be the question.
As a whole though, this storyline about the paintings has really been a letdown. From the beginning we had such wider thoughts, but in the end- this is all we got???
And don't even get me started on the Elle breaking her handcuff's and shooting down West and Claire. Why didn't she do that earlier? How did West survive that fall? Very poor writing.

Bob had seen the paintings... He knew Mo had a gun at some point. He knew HRG got shot at some point. He knew he was just doing his part it events that were pre-ordained.
To be honest, I could see Elle reviving HRG for only one reason: Revenge.
After all, HRG managed to make her look the fool and taunted her for a while before exchanging her for Claire. That kick to the ego would be something that Elle isn't going to forgive or forget for a while. Plus, I think she's still got some more questions about her younger days for dear 'ol Daddy Bennet, so I'm thinking we're going to be getting a little more story on Elle very soon as well.
I ruled out Peter and Adam right away, since they're basically on the opposite side of the continent from where HRG's action took place, so they might have an idea what's going on thanks to Peter's abilities, but they really wouldn't be in a position to really act on it right now considering that Adam's plans shouldn't require HRG's presence or actions.
So that leaves Bob and Mohinder. Mohinder just shot HRG, but that might have been for show so that Bob thinks that Mohinder's bound more tightly to the company than at first. Then Mohinder takes HRG's body, and heals it thanks to some of the blood that Bob harvested. Thus, Mohinder is still the mole in the Company, and his and HRG's plans are still viable to take down the company.
Bob would be regenerating HRG for one reason only: Information. HRG knows quite a bit, and was the star operative for the company. There are too many things that only he knows about that Bob would need to sift from his memories. So I'd say that those two options are the most viable ones at this time.
